Good but sort of a gimmick
The base of it, the material/lesson/book is good and keeps the kid entertained while learning. The 3D is a bit of a gimmick, but adds a little something for the kid to be interested in.

Great system, fun and educational
My son loves his Leapfrog Leapstart and this book entertains him endlessly. He is learning to count to twenty. The book has to be downloaded onto the Leapstart before playing, so it can’t be used right out of the package. It’s a great gift along with the Leapstart- my mom gave him just the book not realizing what it was.

This number book is fantastic, my nephew (2-years) loves using his leapfrog and this book has been great since he has just started saying some numbers. He really enjoys using it with support as he is very young, but he will get more independent over time. One thing I didn’t realise, as he got the leapfrog leap start bundle as a birthday present was that you have to connect it to a computer and scan a code in the book to download the audio that goes with it before he could use it, but that was fine and easy enough to do.

It was on sale for $5 so it was a really good deal from the regular $10 price and my son absolutely loves Scout. It has a bunch of stickers for completing all the levels which is really cute and has a bunch of pages
