Extended Cylinder Release for Smith & Wesson K/L/N Revolvers

Put it on my 500 S&W and it worked fine, great craftsmanship. Thought it may not work with thumb break holsters, which is what I use and that was right, so I've taken it off, thumb straps won't snap closed with it installed. If one doesn't use such holsters, the product is nice, worked with my kenai chest holster fine.

I have bought many of these and they all have been great: well made, perfect fit; a two minute modification that makes cylinder release w/o change of strong hand position. Surely you’ve seen these. They work exactly as you hoped. Highest recommendation.

I ordered the TK Custom extended cylinder release for my X Frame S&W 460V. I use the 460V for handgun hunting in late season (November) here in South Dakota. Considering I am a handful of years away from being 50, having some arthritis in my fingers and wear gloves from the usually cold temps in November, the extended cylinder is a desperately needed improvement over the standard "button" release by S&W. The quality of the extended cylinder release is tremendous. The release fits perfect and takes less than 2 minutes to install. The oversized and grip texture on the thumb pad is very nice. The extended release is at a perfect angle and will definitely make opening the cylinder much faster and easier, especially when wearing gloves. There is no doubt this product will last a lifetime. I highly recommend this product and wish I bought one years ago. The only con about the TK Custom extended cylinder is the price. $85 (plus tax, shipping and handling) is ridiculous. This is a $20 dollar part at best. Yes, you are getting ripped off royally, so you have to decide if the gain is worth the very high price. TK Customs would sell way more of these cylinder releases if they were not price gouging so bad. If you can afford it, the cylinder release is well worth the investment - after you get past the pain of the price tag.

What can I say. It looks cool and it does its job. The price however, outrageous. Unfortunately since the competition is roughly the same price I will buy more in the future but The price is outrageous

Not just for competition shooters, as the platform makes any reload process easier and "no looking" tactile. Installed on the woods carry, and draws without a hitch.

The extended cylinder release button makes releasing and removing the cylinder much easier. I installed it on my Smith and Wesson Model 686 and am more than pleased.
