I got this to help with our 7 5 month old rescue kittens . They have outgrown their tent playpen that we use when they aren’t being supervised . Our 3 big boy house cats thought it was for them. Everyone loves it. We got a small cat tree for one side and there is room for a small litter box and food on the bottom. I hope this will hold up for awhile because it is so loved already. The shelves seem durable and fine for kittens. The big cats maybe not longer term. 5 days in , so far so good. The cats and kittens spend time in it even when the doors are open. It looks daunting to put together but it was fine. We also had lots of ‘helpers’. We used the zip ties provided. It would look better with black zip ties. I would recommend that. The door latches are fine so far but we will probably add a clip or something because these guys open everything eventually. The metal is sturdy and there are supports that hold the shelves that you cannot really see in the pictures. The size is fine for kittens and cats. I am only concerned that my fat cats will wear it out before it’s time. It is solid and doesn’t tip over or push back and forth and it does come with squares for the floor. You can place the doors where you want them. I looked at all kinds of enclosures and the amount of money for this was comparable to others like it. The cats are happy and kittens content. Also : there was trouble with shipping and it was damaged and sent back before it was delivered. The communication about this was ok and lots of waiting to find out if I should reorder or if they were sending a replacement. They ended up refunding me and I reordered. That was quick. The delay and damage the first time I am sure was the air traffic glitch in early November. As it turns out it is fine. We are loving it.

***I have only just built and used this catio for one day, so this review cannot speak to the longevity of the product, but I had some details I wanted to share that might be helpful. So far, I am very pleased with this product! It is sturdier than I anticipated, and was quite easy to put together. I'm including some pictures because I think it looks nice in real life (nicer than the CGI images!) and it's very customizable. Here's a video of my 12lb cat climbing the walls (that's her 3rd and final climb...she made it all the way to the roof the first time), and you can see that while the wall sways a bit, I'm never really concerned that the product will break. And I haven't even put the zip ties on yet, though when we do, I'll have extra confidence. Also including an image of the contents of the package - we ordered the 41x41x55 size so you can see the number of panels it comes with if you wanted to design your own shape/size based on the panels. Would recommend! I will update this review if it ever catastrophically breaks or if I change my mind on recommending it...

This was insanely hard to put together but it was doable! It took me majority of the day with the help of my husband. We also had to stop off and on due to confusion and agitation. However, it's been great for the first 3 months. I use this indoor for my 2 cats that are 7 years old when nobody is home and when we are asleep because they get into everything. They both weigh around 11-13 pounds each. We assembled the platforms inside the cage according to instructions and even used the zip ties for extra support. After 3 months, some of the platforms have bent. One has even snapped in half (pictured) but the plastic around the metal has kept it from completely falling apart. My concern is that specific platform is one my cat takes to for sleeping (I put a bed there and also tried no bed there, he still likes that spot) and I'm afraid it might snap one day through the plastic and cause harm. I even put extra beds and perches inside to have several options instead of staying in one spot all the time when in the kennel. Overall, worth the money and the concept. I just wish there were replacement parts.

We bought this to separate one of our 8 cats from the others due to social and bad, lack of, litter box habits. I like the large space and 3 different platform levels for the cat to move around in and on. The one big thing I don't like, and don't understand is why the size of the door panels are so small. They work okay as single panels to reach in to clean the litter box and refill the food and water bowls, but serve no purpose as far as actually entering the cage. We have 3 stacked vertically for the door and in order to get in I had to literally get down on the floor, on my side and slither into the cage like a snake. Not an easy thing to do for a 60 year old woman. It would be nice if the door panels were double the width so a person could get in to clean and put in and take out items like a cat pedestal

I am beyond impressed with the build quality. I put it through heck in assembly because of being to stubborn to get help. The only thing that broke was like maybe five of the connecter plastic pieces. Even with that only a part of the plastic part broke leaving it able to be used in other ways or spots. It comes with plenty of pieces. I even have parts left over that imma keep incase a wind storm messes something up. It is very easy to assemble and I love how easy it is to make it to whatever size you want with the doors and levels where ever you want. My only issue is I wish it came with tie down stakes instead of me needing to get some. The zip ties are easily breakable to the point they are useless.

Easy to assemble and my cat loves his own space. When we go out, he just hangs out in his room and we can keep him from getting in trouble around the house. He sleeps in it at night. And we don’t have to worry about him getting into things and it helps him to sleep at the same time as we do.

Our cars love this, a little bit time consuming to build. We ended up using a plastic hammer. To make sure the panels connected. Good price.

he loved the "chance to smell the fresh air" better than stuck in the house. draw back it takes more than an hour to assemble it and i prefer the zip ties send should be black . we didn't use the piece for door instead we use to stabilize for the shelving as a safe perch. but It looks great! thanks!

The instructions have you make it the opposite way and I did not notice, I was thinking it was smaller than I thought until I went back and looked at the picture Now after building it for hours I will have to take it apart and do it over. Now looking to fix to three high and four wide, there is not enough top panels unless I take the platforms out. That being said the product is sturdy enough.
