ANTA Klay Thompson Light 3 Men’s Training Basketball Shoes

Just picked these up. They run a tad bit long but going a size down may result in too tight a fit. With that said, if you want a tight fit go a half size down. If you want a little wiggle room go true to size. The cushioning is possibly the best I’ve ever had in a basketball shoe (I’ve played in jordans, Dame’s, Harden’s, etc). Not sure what the cushioning is made (a shock is the name) of but it’s ultra responsive and bouncy. Maybe the most bouncy off any basketball shoe I’ve worn. Ventilation and traction are A1. The traction is tacky/sticky out of the box and provides super grip. The material seems to be a knit similar to Nike’s prime knit or Adidas prime knit. This was my first purchase of a Chinese brand basketball shoe but I’m already thinking of purchasing another pair at some point in the future.

The mesh fabric throughout the upper part of the shoe is comfortable. The shoe fits my foot instead of the other way around. This natural adjustability makes it easy to slip on and easier to run around on the court. Any serious baller should be concerned about the fabric as it is not kind to ankle turns. This shoe will not offer any support. The malleable fabric makes turning your ankle almost a certainty. If you make an abrupt stop or hard turn, the sole seems to adhere to the court but the fabric allows for some movement of your foot in the shoe.

These were purchased for my son's HS volleyball season. After only ~3 weeks into the season they are already coming apart. The loops that hold the laces have broken so his feet slide around in the shoes. They will have to be replaced. I am extremely disappointed in the quality and endurance. His shoes, including shoes for volleyball in previous years, have never fallen apart like this in the past. Now we will have to replace them which is very annoying not to mention costly.

So incredibly surprised with this shoe. The soles are bouncy, the fit is great. I'm excited to ball in them. This is ranked in my top 3 shoes ever and as someone who goes through a pair of basketball shoes every 6-8 months, that says a lot.

They were immediately comfortable out of the box and perfect fit.
