Great knife! 5 stars! Stunning knife. Well made. Yes, the blade is wrapped in oil, as Damascus steel should be in order to protect from rust. You can simply wipe off the excess oil after unpacking, but always keep it lightly oiled. Thanks!

Not your ordinary knife!
I bought this for my son as a Christmas gift. He collects unusual knives, and is very picky about what he buys. I took a chance that I could find one he would like, and ordered this one. He was completely blown away by this knife. It is beautifully done, unusual, with a perfect fit on the handle. He was very impressed with it, and as I said, he is very picky. Judging my his reaction, and the way he kept inspecting it, I highly recommend this product and this seller. Could not be more pleased. Seeing my son's face while he looked it over was priceless! Amazing
I don’t see what people are saying about a bunch oil and they might be doing it themselves but it’s supposed to have oil on it to protect the metal. The quality is there and there’s supposed to be ridges in it, the value is there money wise. Size is amazing and my father loved it.

Beautiful knife unfortunately….
Beautiful knife! I got it for my husband as a 14th anniversary gift in leu of ivory, unfortunately the sheath is falling apart for no apparent reason.. it’s not quite as sharp as you might like but it is very beautifully made! I just wish especially considering it was a present that The same care that went into making the knife went into making this sheath for it!
