We recently purchased a Berkey Water Filter to filter our tap water instead of buying bottled water all the time. I'm not a fan of the hard plastic bottles or the aluminum ones so I went with stainless steel. The Klean Kanteen received good reviews on the hiking sites, so I bought one through amazon. I've been using it for several weeks now, and it's a great bottle.** The sport top is easy to drink from and does not leak as long as you remember to depress the spout back in.** The loop on the cap is very convenient for carrying it around.** It will keep your water cool at room temperature indoors but since this model is not insulated, it will warm up if left in the car on a hot day.** The opening is large enough to fit ice cubes through but again, since this one is not insulated it does sweat.** Ii seems pretty durable.....I have dropped it once or twice and it did not dent or scratch.** It did not fit in the cup holder of my vehicle but that's not a deal breaker to meI plan on ordering the insulated version in the Klean Kanteen since they appear to have quality bottles.

Klean Kanteen makes a variety of indestructible containers, water bottles and other goodness and this steel water bottle lives up to their name. Unlike other plastic water bottles, this water bottle will never give you a funky taste, since it's made of stainless steel. This water bottle can stand a lot of abuse and when you do drop it or get some scratches it just gives it some character. I recommend getting the brushed stainless steel color as it's less prone to scratches. Also I'm a big fan of the sport cap, it provides quick and easy access with no spillage. I bought this bottle in end of feb 2014... the bottle was delivered on time and came intact and all that was ok... I started using it as soon as i got it and within 10 days i started having a sore throat and I went to the doctor not knowing what caused it and the doctor could not figure it out... this lasted for around 2 1/2 MONTHS and no doctor could figure out what was going on with my throat and I was SCARED as hell ... I spent more than $500 for all the medical and lab tests had blood drawn thrice and an ultrasound and multiple strep test but nothing was found .... then I was 24x7 thinking of the reason this might have happened and It struck me that the timing was so close with me getting this bottle... I decided to stop using it and guess what after 3-4 days of me stopping to use it I was all ok....I dont know what was it but please make sure if u using this bottle and have a sore throat see if this is the reason....

I love my Klean Kanteen! I purchased mine May of 2014, and I have used it exclusively every day since then. I am one to always have a water bottle with me at all times, and in the past, I've always used Nalgene bottles. I love Nalgene bottles, but they don't fit into the bottle cage on a bike, so I needed to find a replacement.My 27 oz with the Sport Cap has been amazing. It's been to both sides of America, it's been in cupholders for 10's of thousands of miles of road trips, it's done thousands of miles on my bike, and I can't even begin to tell you how many lectures, classes, hikes, climbs, and kayaking trips it's attended.I love that there isn't a bad taste or smell with it, unlike a lot of other bottles. It's also very easy to clean. It is incredibly durable, you can drop it, smash it, toss is, and aside from some paint chips and a few small dents, it's no worse for the wear. I personally love the patina that it acquires as the paint chips (which is admittedly quite easy to do), but if you want it to look more professional, I would suggest the unpainted bottle.I reccommend these bottles to all of my friends, and will continue to. 3 years down, many more to go!

Love the bottle. Great design, hold a decent amount of water and doesn't leave any off flavors. The cap is convenient if you are always on the go and need a quick drink. It's very easy to open/close cap with teeth.Yes, it is prone to nicks and scratches, especially if you live an active lifestyle. Sometimes the sports cap can leak a little bit of water, granted, only drops.The top can impart subtle off-flavors sometimes. If you really mind you can always unscrew the cap and drink it the less cool way.All in all a good buy. About to buy a pink one for my wife!
