JSC Engineering DTR – Power Pickup Truck Tailgate Lift with Remote Control Lock

I ordered a drop tail to allow my mother to have easier access to her truck bed as she ages. In the end I had to delete nearly all of the things that would make this system convenient to use.The manufacturer was quick to ask about getting my contact info, and email address, but then never returned any of my messages to them. Multiple phone calls and emails went unanswered. The website as listed is non existent.The brain box did not work, so the remote function of the tailgate drop would not work. After changing batteries in the remote, and checking power supply etc. I had the same outcome. The seller never replied or offered an exchange. To make it work at all I had to buy a DPDT momentary switch and rig that up in the bed of the truck. Much less convenient, but the actuator actually worked when I reengineered the control system.Next time, I would save myself time and hassle. Getting a 12 volt gate actuator at Tractor Supply would have posed less frustration, been less expensive and would have incurred the same work level to complete this project.Seller and product are really not worth your time.

No longer do I have to struggle to lift my truck's heavy tailgate to close it. Some fabricating (in the form of making a bracket) was required, for proper installation in my 2014 Mazda BT 50, but the device works like a charm
