My inner nerd was so excited to get this after losing a similar slide chart that is out of print. Text requires readers or better lighting than the pub I was in when I giddily opened the package.

Quickly allows you to find fastener dimensions with no fuss. I'm a mechanical engineer as well as a handyman and this is great when repairing "things" around the home and auto. Face it, most people in hardware stores and big boxes are not well versed. This allows you to find what you need and get to work.

I run my own mechanical design consulting business ([...])and have been using a smaller version of this slide chart for several years. It has been an incredibly useful tool, but it was only in inches. I found this one a few days ago and ordered it - it is AMAZING. It also has about a dozen other things that my old one didn't have: Min bend radii for sheet metal in various materials Reference durometer data for various materials Beam defelction equations Thermoplastic properties for various materials Surface finish reference data A few simple stats equations Weld and GD&T symbols And more... ...and then of course the standard stuff like dimensions for the full spectrum of nuts and bolts, drill/tap/size chart, fractional and drill conversion chart. This is a huge time-saving tool for anyone who is in the product development/mechanical design field.
