A Perfect addition to any SH Figuarts Dragon Ball Collection
Just received this figure today, and I must say, I'm very happy with him! Mine arrived in a well-packaged box and was in mint condition. I must say, I am an open-box collector, so I did unpack him. The figure still uses the 1.0 body mold from the line, but this doesn't stop him from being a spectacular figure with high pose-ability.The painting in this figure is great too, with nice, warm shading on the skin and a subtle shine to his ssgss hair. The additional parts on this figure are solid too, with all the hands you'd need to get him into many iconic poses and shots. His spirit sword is nice solid plastic and is well sculpted, and even though it seems too heavy to consistently be supported by his arm alone, it features a slot to plug in an arm from an act 4 stage (pictured but not included). The addition of the crossed arm piece is a big plus and I love that they kept the brown base form head from the original release.Overall Pros:•Solid painting and sculpting, improving from the original.•High pose-ability with many alternate parts•Unique, collectible packagingOverall Cons:•Still uses 1.0 body mold•open "grappling hands" have fingernails sculpted on them (reused mold from other figures)•Concerned about loosening arm sockets if I swap the crossed arms on too much (hasn't happened, but I've considered it).•Very pricy due to being an old convention exclusive (paid around $200 US for mine)In conclusion, if you have the money to spare, this figure is a must have for your dragon ball super collection! Especially once the Zamasu (Potara ver.) releases in Sept.!
