Seagate Expansion 20TB External Hard Drive HDD - USB 3.0, with Rescue Data Recovery Services (STKP20000400)

Purchased 24TB Seagate Expansion HDD and I can confirm that in all aspects whether be the top Quality and lite Weight portability and fast Speed transfer rate and read write operation and Value for money and Performance and Functionality and Storage Capacity, it deserves to be rated 10/10.

Working well. But still it's expensive.

First of all the drive was shipped in its original packaging without any additional box. BUT the drives was undamaged and arrived fine. The original packaging is solid with good cushioning and holds the drive tightly so I guess it is not an issue but still would have liked some additional wrapping. I have also purchased a western digital drive from here in past it too came in manufacturer packaging so I think it is not specific to this product. Drive connected and worked fine. You get 18.18TiB of storage. So 20TB => 18.18TiB on computer. It is just the way the manufacturers advertise everywhere including WD. One red flag was that, the drive had a EFI hidden boot partition of 200MB on it along with regular exFAT partition. Why? I don't know. Upon connecting I immediately checked the drive usage and it showed 13 power ups (1 was mine) with less than 1 hour usage already. Now this could be due to quality checks but I'm not sure. The usage was less than 1 hour so I think it's ok? Before opening I double checked all the seals and dirt marking to make sure drive was unused. Second red flag was warranty registration. The drive comes with some files which are provided by Seagate. There is an executable which when double clicked, registers the warranty for the drive (You need internet for this). Problem is the drive registered with a different serial number than the one I found using SMART tools. So again this will be problem for claiming warranty. Drive heats up quickly but levels out at 50-55 degrees during normal usage. In Indian summer though you'll need some cooling with external fan (even table fan will do) as temp may get very high if using for 4-5 hours. There were no noises during regular usage. During startup it makes regular HDD noises. Speed is not spectacular but its fine. Even with USB 3.2 port I was getting ~150Mbps for large files and much less for smaller files. But this should not be a problem if you are using it just to take backups. Overall I think it is worth for the price. Make sure that you know your nearest Seagate Service center address (google it) before ordering. If anything goes wrong you'll need to either courier it to service center or take it personally (recommended). Calling on phone never works in my experience so just go personally it is much faster that way. Amazon no longer accepts direct returns for this and many other electronic devices now. So beware of this.

At first i thought it was slow and i realised my laptop was the bottleneck when i used it on my pc it is as fast any other hdd

Seagate is the BEST HDD. This 20 TB does the job. Unlike WD which is useless.

Don't buy this product from Seagate. No customer care support from Seagate as well amazon. I tried everything to connect it with my PC, laptop. No use. Hardware disk failure. I spent 39k for this useless item. What I purchased here is only headache and anguish.
