I purchased this lamp on 1/23/2922 from Amazon. I paid $89.99 for it. It worked great and was so cute! I’m a knitter and wanted a unique craft light for my living room. On 11/7/2022 the light bulb died. You can’t replace the light bulb so the lamp was useless. I did not purchase the Protection Plan and didn't see anything about a warranty on the Amazon site so thought I'd have to through it away. I wrote a review saying all this and was contacted by OttLite. The rep informed me there is a 2-year warranty on OttLite lamps, and she sent me a new one. Needless to say I am thrilled! So if you buy this wonderful lamp but if you have a problem with it during the first two years, contact OttLamp. It also comes with a warranty card, so you can register it. They will replace it.

Reading is easier on the eyes with an OttLite. I purchased this lamp to replace a previous OttLite lamp to use next to my desk computer due to low room lighting. The lamp is colorful and the base is heavy so that it won’t tip over and the joint like sections can be changed so the lamp can be used in different configurations. I prefer the metal to plastic versions. The light can’t be changed so when it expires you have to replace the entire lamp. Recommended for reading, art work, crafts etc. Only a light touch on the bottom on the base will trigger a change in the degree of brightness. I would repurchase this item .

I’ve wanted an Ott light for ages for doing various needlework projects, everything from hand sewing to knitting to embroidery. I just couldn’t get past the fact that they’re not the most attractive light fixtures. I’ve just remodeled my studio and knew that a good light was necessary to make it as functional as possible. This design fits in nicely with my colorful cottage aesthetic and I couldn’t be happier with my light. It’s heavy and sturdy and adjusts easily. The light is just what I need for doing fine handwork. The USB port on the base is an unexpected bonus!

I don’t know how I got by without this pretty and functional light for my sewing table !Even charges phone with usb connection.

Ott claims the unreplaceable light will last 40,000 hours. If you leave the light on every hour of every day, that’s over four years. Made it 13 months for me. That’s far too expensive for a lamp that you have to throw away after only owning it for a tad over one year, and nowhere near even a quarter of it’s alleged lifespan. Maybe you will be luckier than me, but I gotta call this one a bust. Hey, but at least the USB port still works!

Bought this for my daughters room & when I received it was shocked at how sturdy it actually was! Played with it a bit and discovered all the points of custom angles it’s capable of were easy to manipulate and once in place were extremely stable. Light brightness is strong but so soft-not blinding at all. Perfect for project lighting. I highly recommend! A tad pricey but worth every single penny invested. I’m sure this lamp will last a very long time!
