Omotor Fit for Toyota Tundra 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 Black Tailgate Backup Reverse Handle with Camera

I installed this camera on my 2011 tundra. There was an aftermarket camera already installed, so I used the existing wiring (with some adjusting). The cable that comes with the camera would have worked great (it has a reverse sensing wire included). I just didn't want to run it to the cab. In order to get the "auto reverse view", when put into reverse, I had to find the reverse wire in the cab. My tundra's wire was easily accessed behind the passenger foot kick plate. I added a clip-on splitter, attached a wire to the splitter then ran the wire up to the radio head and attached it to the radio's "reverse sensing" input.The tailgate handle installation was easy and quick. The quality of the handle seems very good. The only thing I had an issue with was the "lock clip". It seemed a bit loose. I just took it off, squeezed out so it would be tighter. It worked ok. If I was to do it again, I would bend the middle straight section into a V (a little "dog leg"). I think it would hold even better.I hope this helps you. Items looks great but is not functional.The camera does not work haft if the time. Picture quality is then lowered by low quality video cable. The plastic is thinner. This thing weight less than the oem handle and it has a camera. Waist of time and money.

Actual handle fit perfectly into placement spot on tailgate and attached without any issues. Wiring for camera was really difficult to install, no mention of how to route it through to the cab of the truck. Had to do research in order to figure out how to route it. No directions on how to locate wiring to install behind dash.

Although the latch was easy to install and works well, I was severely disappointed in the wiring for the camera. It was not what was pictured or promised based on their product description. With that said, I attempted to contact their customer service via email and was greeted with an unable to deliver message due to a full inbox. Evidently they do not answer emails. Following that, I attempted to submit a request on their website; again, no response whatsoever. Hence my only option is to write a poor review. Amazon offered to return the item, but I still need the latch; so I am left without any alternatives. Do not believe the ad or what is pictured. Order nothing from this company! They do not honor anything they say or portray.If anyone has any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

So i've had this camera on for about a year and a half. When I first installed it, the handle was really hard to open the lift gate. I thought that thats just the way its going to be. Well, yesterday, it got really hard to open and I barely got it open. When I did, I decided to shoot some lub in the liftgates latching mechanisms. After that, it works to effortlessly. Turns out that may have been the problem from the start-not lubed.Other than that, camera still works fine and has a clear shot.

The camera does not turn on anymore. I only had it for a couple of months. I still have not reach out for a refund.

I bought this and the quality isn't HD but it's good. This really adds to my 07 tundra. Instead of having the typical license plate camera. This is more discreet and looks like the truck came with it from the factory. The handle itself is easy to operate as well

I finally got the backup camera installed and it had worked perfectly since day one. The quality and clarity of the camera is very great. I would definitely recommend this item to other Toyota Tundra owners.
