I use these to cut my 3 Great Danes nails. They are slightly too small to cut them all, but actually slice through the nail. The others I have had crush. Plus you can get new blades. Just be careful, you need to understand just how and where to cut to not injure the dog. But for somebody who knows how to do it, these are GREAT!

Best nail clippers and clip through with ease

I wasn't expecting these dog nail clippers to be any different than the ones I've bought in the past, but there is a noticeable difference in the quality and effectiveness of these clippers. They are sturdy and clip the nail cleanly, make the job quicker and easier since my dog hates having her nails clipped. I doubt I'll have to replace these anytime soon, but if I do I'll be buying another pair.

I got these, hated them (the cuts were never clean, there is too much play between the blade & nail). My dog hated them. He does have thick, dark nails. Even done appropriately, the pressure was clearly unpleasant to him. The need to be quick in your movements also gives no time to react if you do cut too deep, since it's a decisive cut.I returned them before I made him anxious about me handling his paws.I decided to try a nail grinder. 10000% better. He'll sit there and barely move since I got him used to the sound of the grinder and reacts when it gets near the quick. It's a much more pleasant process for both of us.If you're curious, look at your pup's nails. If they look hard to deal with, you might be better off skipping trying the cutters and going straight to grinding. You can also squeeze gently on the sides of the nails and see how they react to the pressure. Mine didn't care for the pressure one bit. I imagine these would work fine on softer nails.Respect the company for sticking to the product, it didn't work for me though

I’ve always used scissor type cutters and I’ve never felt comfortable, therefore neither has my dog. He is already easily spooked, add in that’s he a strong dog that DOES NOT like his nails clipped and the anxiety sets in and I suppose for good reason. I cut a quick of his once and so did my son. He is tethered and muzzled during clipping but still pulls and moves his legs and feet and we are both shaking. I knew I needed to do something but what? I found these Resco clippers while doing research and decided to give them a try and I’m glad I did.When I first took them out of the box I saw how small they are and chuckled. Then I held them in my hand, felt their weight and I knew they were they were strong enough. When I squeezed them a few time I could feel their cutting strength and knew I was onto something good. I have a Golden Retriever and he gets his nails clipped when he gets bathed and trimmed at the groomer. My other dog is an 80 lb mix of explosive strength but also a cuddly baby.The Resco worked great! It took a few successful nail cuts to gain confidence and by the time I got to the last few cuts I was totally comfortable and Zeke was much better.He stands while I curl a paw under so the pad is facing upward and I can see the bottom of the nail. I take a wet sponge and clean the bottoms of the nails and it helps to see the quick when determining a cutting point. With this design, the ‘loop’ guides the nail to keep it centered and the handle squeezes so effortless it makes it easy to find the correct depth and makes a clean cut accurately, quickly and a much better sounding cutting noise. Some almost silent but nothing like the other cutters. I’ve found what I’ve been looking for. Also, with replaceable blades, you can always have a familiar, sharp tool that works great AND? yes, and made in the USA 🇺🇸

These work quite well as long as you don't mess with the inner workings! Our dog is a Lab and Chow mix which is about 90 pounds so they are perfect! They are also quite comfy in the hand!One complaint is a design flaw that allowed the blade to become bound up by the linkage to the handle when you press down on the linkage bar which connects the spring, handle, and blade. I had to disassemble them to get everything back in place but they work well now.

For an inexpensive dog trimmer set they work pretty well. I definitely would prefer this style over any other I've tried.The blade isn't as flush as I would like, meaning some times the nail trimming gets caught between the two blades like a cheap pair of scissors. Also at least once per trim session the blade slides too far back and I have to kind of knock it back into place.

best clip it once, and be done Dog Nail Clippers.... The finish is not as smooth as as grinder, but you can finish with a grinder if you so choose..... In my experience the grinder takes TOO LONG and stresses the pups!! Clip it close and grind it smooth!!! or just Clip it and BE DONE....The cut is clean. These are SHARP... pay attention to where the Quick is.... With my Dogs.... there is no stress on you or them!!

Tengo 9 mascotas y sirve muy bien.

So much easier & more comfortable for my pooch than other clippers that pinch/ squeeze the nails at the side. Very happy.

Funciona, pero si tu perro es grande, no es yna buena opcion. Lo compre pensando que al ser de metal sería mas fuerte pero se rompio. Para perros grande no es bueno
