Drill bit sharpener with NO case
This product was sent from n j USA and not suitable for use in the u k as it is only suitable for110-120volts. It came with a plug not suitable for use in U K. After many emails back and forth I have now sent it back to N J and I am out of pocket due to carrier services. Amazon should be more digilent in allowing sites from U S A to promote their goods on their site. It Also did NOT come with a carrying case as advertised

Nothing else comes close
I don't know how many broken or dull bits I have sitting around because up to now it has been one big pain in neck to resharpen them. I usually wind up buying a whole pack (10) of the most popular sizes I use and set them aside after they get dull. I have several different drill sharpeners; you know the type one would use with a grinder. Problem is they have never worked well for me, it seems like it's always hit or miss and most of the time "miss seems to prevail" and setting the jig up for sharpening the bits was always a chore. So it was with some trepidation I bought the Drill Doctor" especially because it was a lot more than I had ever paid for any other sharpener. But this is truly a case of "you get what you pay for...sometimes). But after reading the reviews I bit the bullet and ordered one. Gotta tell ya...I am now one happy camper when it comes to sharpening my old dull bits. It works just like the provided video shows, not just once but each and every time! Anyone who can't sharpen a bit properly with the Drill Doctor probably shouldn't be handling a power tool in the first place. I mean it is virtually moron proof. Loosely calculating the number of useless drill bits I have accumulated over the years I figure this tool will more than pay for itself. Looking for the right tool to sharpen your drill bits?...Buy the Drill Doctor, I promise you will never look back.Oh by the way, a little background on me. I am a retired General Contractor and an active hobbyist. I own 6 cordless drills, 3 corded drills, and 2 drill presses (what can I say I have a weakness for good tools!) so I guess it would be fair to say I have had some experience working with drills and drill bits.

Drill Doctor 500 is great
I purchased the Drill Doctor 500 brand new from Amazon.com because they had the best price. At first, I sharpened about 50 135 degree cobalt bits, which were dull. I tried each of them in a piece of wood (for testing purposes) and they drilled like butter. However, I got to a job site and used some of them in metal and they did not drill well at all. I then realized I had not sharpened them well enough. I find it works better when you use 6 to 8 more than the recommeneded rotations when shapening the bits. This thing is great. I sharpened two 1/2 inch carbide tip bits and they drilled cement block like they were brand new bits. It takes a little practice and I now keep a piece of thin gauge metal or aluminun next to my work bench to test each bit after sharpening. It does one well to read and follow the directions. I am just sorry that I have thrown away so many expensive cobalt bits over the years. Also, I had a problem when I went to reverse the diamond wheel. The wrench that was supplied with my drill doctor would not fit and it broke the plastic piece underneath the wheel. I called drill doctor and they sent a UPS pick up order at no charge and they they also sent me a brand new drill doctor. I expected for them to blame me and give me a hard time. Boy was I surprised at the outstanding customer service at this company. I love this thing and its one of my favorite tools.

It was easy to use and resulted in sharpening drill bits at the perfect angle every time. I did my whole index box of drills in one sitting...couldn't put it away!

very difficult to get a good sharpening.
This tool is very difficult to set up to make it work. I've ruined bits with it by trying to sharpen them, and instead get wrong angles on them, and end up grinding way down. The chucks are somewhat flimsy, alignment is difficult, and results are inconsistant. It is one of the few tools I've ever bought that I would never use again. It would be better to simply buy new drill bits- I do now.

The Best Thing Since Socks!
I ordered the tool, got it over the weekend, and spent an afternoon refurbishing a box of worn, dull and broken drill bits. Figuring the cost of new drill bits that I saved, I have literally already paid for the tool! This is a great addition to any shop that has frequent use for SHARP drill bits, and I am pleased with the ease of use and setup! I recommend this sharpener to anyone who wants to save money and time.
