The Root Riot Plant Starter tray is perfect for seedlings or for taking clones. This product is very similar to the more expensive brand "rapid rooters". I also found that these root riot plugs stay moist very easily and work much better than any jiffy product. The Jiffy pots tend to grow mold on them after a few days which is bad for sensitive seedlings. The Jiffy pots also tend to encourage root rot which can prevent seeds from sprouting or taking off as normal.

a great product that is very easy to. roots develop faster and larger and watering is easy, just dump water in the bottom of the tray. when you remove 1 cube just replace it with another and set the seed in the hole already in the cube. my spring garden got easier with this product and no more buying seed starter soil and filling plastic trays and making a mess. these cubes stay together and are very easy to remove without damaging the roots. jiffy pots always dry up and have the netting around them that can damage the roots. with these cubes just remove and plant. no better way to begin your garden indoors and know exactly what plant you have started.

If you are getting cutting plugs this is the way to do it. Your will get nice chunky roots within 10 days. I think these work better then jiffy pots because the roots that poke out of these look like fuzzy monster fingers and are super healthy while the jiffy ones look like they are struggling.

This product is good but no clonex which was said to be included. I want to give a 1 star but the rest of the product is good (5 star). I’m just really bummed.

I've been starting seeds and growing cuttings for 20 years but this will be my first time using Root Riot. I bought these 2 trays to be able to see the product in person & be sure I wanted to go forward with a longer investment – once they arrived I was all in. The material in each tray cell is moist, yet firm enough to support cuttings. It's too early for me to use them yet, as I'm not working in a greenhouse, but as soon as I start trialing them I'll post results.

Very easy to use only thing missing is a dome.

Don't buy them from Amazon, they are totally dry and will need to be soaked for a good while just to bring them back, they look old too. I went down to my local store and bought more because i don't want to take chances with my results, the clonex packs included look old. almost like they are stored outside in the sun!!!!!!!!!! horrible awful. i should have listened to myself and just sent them back instead of opening them. now i have lots of crappy blocks and clonex i am nervous to use. that stuff has a shelf life!!!

The media could not be loaded. The product is good, but it could use a thicker base to ensure that all plants get the same amount of water. Currently the plants in the middle tend to dry out.
