I bought them because I wanted one for counting situps, as I can get distracted. Thought I should get two because one might not work, or I might loose one. Then I saw this deal. A few extra, and I thought, maybe a stocking stuffier for my nephews. Well, it was a hit. They loved them. A lot of bang for the buck...and no batteries to replace. And, yes, it works fantastic for situps. I'd say it is maybe 20-30% smaller than I was expecting, but it is metal and a decent size. The housing is approximately 1.8 inches diameter by1.25 inches. The two metal halves don't exactly meet on any of them. Just a smidge off. Thought I would take one apart and see if I could make the alignment better. I discovered that the metal was perfect. The screw holes were not, so I could not do anything about it. Not a big deal. It is not way off. I just though I would see if I could make it that little bit better. I think this will last quite a while, and if it doesn't, I still have 2 extra. Never bothered with the lanyard.I think I will use some stick-on foam for a little more grip (my hand is quite a bit larger than the counter). They have this waffle pattern 1/4 in thick black foam that is supposed to be for keeping stuff from sliding around I get at my local dollar store. I think I will try sticking that to it.

Good for the price

I bought these to count laps on an indoor raised walking track above the basketball courts at the local rec center. Kept zoning out and forgetting how many times I’d gone around. Only needed one, but it worked out price wise to buy in quantity. They are very sturdy and even come with lanyards so I can hang it around my neck while walking. It fits comfortably in my hand with a good size lever to hit with your thumb every time you finish a lap. It goes to 1,000 count, which I don’t need. But it resets to “0000” easily with a twist of the knob on the side. No complaints, does what I need, and I have extras should one break. Easy to use with one hand (on lanyard) for whatever you need to count off.

Great value & easy to use to keep count of anything especially a crowded room during this pandemic times.

It does the job. It's nothing sophisticated, but exactly what I wanted so I am satisfied.

These are not as smooth as the ones that I have used previously. They do work and seem to be accurate but clicking is tighter and winding back to zero is much stiffer than I'm used to.

These tally counters are perfect for Bunco party. Easy to count the points with these.
