Works on Yorkie hair!
I bought this because it was a cheaper option and because trying to groom my yorkie's hair with human clippers wasn't working at all! I was skeptical at first but was very surprised to find that it clipped right through my dog's long fur! It took so much less time to cut his hair than trying to use normal clippers! The Scissors in it are garbage, especially since I'm left handed, but otherwise I'm super happy with my purchase!

Don’t buy- they stopped working after a few uses
I really liked these at first. Yes they’re loud but they were quick & efficient for our 20lbs havanese. After the 5th time, they stopped working. Motor is going fast & slow. We tried cleaning the whole thing and even after still won’t cut his fur at all. Very disappointed as I had read the reviews and they seemed good. But they don’t last! Total bummer & a waste of money.

Work well but loud.
Working well on my thick Bernadoodles coat but it is louder then my two other clippers that struggle with his fur. If you have a pet that maybe nervous with the sound you may want to reconsider these clippers. My dog was nervous but after a couple minutes he relaxed.

One cut down! Dogs look great!
We used the 2 guard on our F1 Labradoodles. The clippers make noise, all clippers do. I think it is weird people are complaining about that. Our dogs were definitely side eyeing us in the beginning, but they settled in and licked the peanut butter mat. After I did their body and they were comfortable it was super easy to get their sanitary and face. I tested the no guard and level 1 guard just to see how short it can cut - it can go short! The clippers got warm during use, but I used them for over two hours non stop. The first hour they were not warm.I really liked using these.

Not as good as previous models
I have 2 Aussies whom I groom about once a month. This is the second set of Wahl pet clippers I have bought. The first one, which I still have and like, has an adjustable depth head, a strong motor, and cleans up easily. This one just isn’t as good. It doesn’t adjust, the motor works, but doesn’t seem to put out enough umph to cut hair, and it’s a bear to get hair out from under the tines.Just really not as enamored with this set as my other, but I’ll use it til it dies then look elsewhere.

Money Saving Purchase. Glad we bought it.
We received this in the mail yesterday afternoon and within 2 hours, had shaved both our 9 lb PomChi and our 48 lb, EXTREMELY HAIRY mixed breed dog, no problem. (The big guy has an inordinate fear of being brushed which results in long, matted fur if he is not kept groomed). This powerful clipper plowed through even the thickest hair like a hot knife through butter. The noise from the clipper didn't seem to bother either one of them in least. To be clear, they have both been to the groomer since they were puppies, so they're a bit more used to it than dogs who are not familiar with this experience. Our former groomer (retired) would have them both finished in under one hour for $40 total. Both dogs loved that man. The groomer we used last year took 5 hours to do the two of them and charged $127. In addition, they were both sort of traumatized and weirded- out for about 5 days following their lengthy grooming session with the new groomer. Time to learn how to do it ourselves. I'm glad we picked this corded clipper. The cord was quite long. With rechargeable anything, you get to the point where it doesn't hold a charge and you are trying to locate a replacement battery. By doing it ourselves, we are saving major $$ and have the option of doing quick touch-ups whenever necessary. Also, our dogs don't have to go through "stranger danger" groomer angst. I'm including a photo of our Clyde in the middle of his grooming session. Trust me, he looked (and felt) much better after all that hair was gone. We researched dozens of clippers and I'm happy we chose this one. It does what we need it to, no problem.

Returning. Blade rusted after one use, even with oil on it.
I trimmed my mini Aussie’s feet and ears, then purchased some plastic comb attachments to shorten her body hair. They seem to work ok. Not spectacular by any means. I removed the hair and kept oil on the blades, but they have now rusted. If the blade is that bad, I’m concerned about the longevity of this clipper. I’m returning it before my 30 day window runs out. I expected more from Wahl.
