Can i use this to play/pause spotify, lower/raise the volume, and skip and go back in tracks?

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us. We currently don't have any custom settings available for Spotify, however all of our Shuttle products are designed to work with any program you can run on your computer. If Spotify has keyboard shortcuts for the functions you're describing, then you can likely create custom settings for the program within the Shuttle software by configuring the keyboard shortcuts in the driver and creating your own custom settings.

Please keep in mind that all versions of the Shuttle are designed specifically for audio/visual applications, and the Shuttle software only applies settings to the currently clicked-on and active program on your computer (the "in-focus" program). If you're looking to use the ShuttleXpress as a controller for Spotify as it's running in the background while you're using a different program in focus (i.e. Spotify is playing but you're currently using a web browser, Microsoft Word or any other program in the foreground), then the Shuttle will only work on the active program (not Spotify) and may not be a good fit for your needs. Has anyone tried this with an ipad pro? assuming you had a usb connected to your ipad.

The Shuttle only works on Windows and Mac computers. It requires a driver and those are the only two operating systems we have drivers for.

Will this work with windows 7?

I know this does not answer your question, but it works with Windows 8.1, and usually the problems of compatibility come with the latest OS. And it also works with Mac OS X Maverics. But, judging by their forum it works with their latest drivers V. 2.10: "Version 2.10 is the latest, and was written to address issues with Windows 7 and Windows 8." http://forums.contourdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8I hope this helps, and you can always return it if it doesn't work, but I bet it will, I love mine :)

I don't see why not. It is a USB interface, and the drivers work on my windows 10 machine. I believe they would work for win 7, 8, and 8.1 as well.
