Handmade Sword - Japanese Samurai Katana Swords

EVERYTHING WAS TIGHT, NO WIGGLE. COULD BE SHARPER. THERE WAS NO CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. OVERALL LOOKS GREAT, BEAUTIFUL BLADE.

Got this sword for 50% off during cyber monday sale. Have not actually used it yet but feels good all the fittings are tight. However the one thing that almost pushed this to a 3 star is that the pictures the seller provided aren't very accurate. The hamon isn't like that, the blade isn't black like the picture, and the tsuba black part in the pictures is a coppery color. The lesson I learned is ask questions to the seller before you buy, I'm prtially to blame.

Exactly as described and pictured. It's definitely not 5lbs!!! It came in around 2.6lbs without saya and with around 2.12lbs. The saya could be a little more heavy duty, it's almost too light. The Ito is an ok material, could be better but because it's wrapped extremely tight it will last a long time. The Tsuba is sturdy, the Kashira seems less sturdy though. The Sageo is just garbage, I will be replacing it, it's essentially a drawstring from a pair of sweatpants or hoodie. All in all, very well made and is perfect for real blade practice, gives you experience that is short of a more expensive blade, but beyond what a bokken can offer.

Seller was responsive and very helpful with any questions I had about both the sword and any other product.The Sword is fantastic, I am really impressed by the quality of the blade and basically everything else with it. SUPER sharp, am going to be doing some tatami mat cutting tests and will update how it does.If you are looking for high quality swords and not wanting to spend an unreal amount, look no further because this one (and any sword by this seller) is worth far more than what the list price is at.update: Sword cut through tatami mat easily, will try 2 or so and see if it can pass the multiple mat test.5 STARS!!! I don't know where to start. The katana was placed in it's sheath, in a protective cloth bag, in a cardboard shipping tube, with hand made Styrofoam spacers to suspend it inside. The tube was placed inside a cardboard box. Loving care and pride shined through on the shipping.The workmanship is practical, strong and graceful. There are no shortcuts on this Katana. The steel in the blade is not cheap and springy like some other companys. The blade is razor sharp, be aware of this when you pull it of it's sheath. It's beautifully crafted and pleasing to the eye. The guard is cast, but cleaned of all pour lines and polished. The handle it tightly wrapped with ray skin underneath. It is certainly a work of art.

The sword is amazing, handle has great gripping the design on it is remarkably beautiful! The blade itself is extremely sharp and well put together! The sheath came in with few minor damages which was replaced with a new sheath from the company in just a few days of it coming in all in all I have no problems with it. It is definitely a must have!!
