Looks/works great, spend the extra $ to get this one!
I love the unique and easy way this rings. The sound is amazing, pleasant and more sustained then most bike bells. Install was easy. I bought this for my cool retro cruiser to replace a Portland bell that stopped working. I had considered this one before but bought the other because it was about $10 cheaper (although not worth it in hindsight). I recommend spending the extra money once and starting with this one! Shipping was also a lot faster than expected. I only wish they would add some of the bells with other finishes to Amazon.

Great sounding bell, well worth the $
I read reviews on bells for a while and shopped around. I was looking for two things: 1. Quality, 2. Sound. In relation to the Sound point - I wanted a "good" sounding ring that was loud and lasted (longer sustain). The volume of this bell is relatively loud, however I have found it still doesn't cut through to quite a few people on the local MUP's. I have rang the bell continuously for a few seconds coming up on people (6-8 full power hits of the bell) before I get anyone's attention and by that point I am right next to them and they (and usually their dog(s) as well) panic. I don't think that is specific to this bell, I think that is very common across the board with MUP's - no matter what kind of alert you use (even the booming yell "Coming up behind you on your LEFT!").As for Quality - not much to say. Every bit is precise and high-end. Materials, bends, forming, machining. Top notch.I would definitely buy again if I had it to do over. I want to try some other quality bells as well (such as Crane from Japan, Spurcycle [genuine, not Rock Brothers knock-off], etc). There is a big difference in quality construction - durability, longevity, and ring - volume/sound - vs inexpensive/cheap options. Considering the price range of some bells - the Lion is a fantastic buy. Just be careful with the sizing of your mounting location. There are two different size-range mounts.Shipping quote to the US (Ohio) was estimated about 5-6 weeks. It came in a week and a half (towards the end of May 2020). It ships factory direct straight from Lion Bell Works.

THE Best Bell
If ever a bike bell could be regarded as a luxury item this is it. It is exquisite in all aspects. The dome is gorgeous but so is the stand and clamp. The tone and the sustain is the nicest I’ve ever heard and I have a couple of Japanese bells.

Perfect
Lovely ding that rings on and on. So far, only smiles from pedestrians who seem to gladly step aside. Loud enough to be heard, but not obnoxious. For riding around town in light traffic or on bike trail, it's just right.

Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggg........................
What a fabulous piece of hardware to add to a bike! Superb craftsmanship. Quality parts. Excellent customer service. Reasonably fast shipping for being overseas. And then there's the sound. You haven't heard a bell this satisfying since the last day of grade school! The sustain seems to hang in there forever. Might have more sustain than a fender strat. One great thing about the sustain is how people on trails seem to hear it much better. You don't have to anticipate your ringing to be close enough to wonder if they heard it, just ring it a ways back and the sound will carry. Strange thing happened while on a trail. I rang the bell to warn some joggers and all of a sudden a bellhop jumped from the bushes and offered to take my luggage!
