Great Quality, Great Value
Great product, especially for the price. I shoot video with a DSLR which of course does not have built-in ND filters like Sony Camcorders. I purchased 4x4 inch ND filters separately and they worked perfectly for an outdoor shoot I did. Highly recommend!

Decent but a few gripes.
1) French Flag/Side Flags. Flags provide extra flare reduction. They are quickly removable. They can be opened to the desired length by using the small knob provided on the flags. All true. The metal is slightly flimsy. I had a bit of a crease in one of mine when I got it but I took a vice too it and it straightened out. The french flags seem to secure and move well, but I have them off. I am more worried about them clanging and being noticed on audio. To me they would be last resort over a lens hood/ fixed flag. If I was needing these when say hand held then I might have to gaff tape the top to the side so they don't jingle.2). Combined with a top handle bracket rig. handle grip can be installed both side, for both left-hand and right-hand. Matte box and top handle grip bracket can be also work separately.Again true. I would have preferred to have a different handle attachment, though.I don't like that there are only one or 2 ¼"-20 screw holes extra on the top and 1 on the bottom. The C-shaped metal support seems like a waste of a lot of metal when there could be possible accessories attached to it.The handle you can spin around, but is the bracket that holds it sits up too high in . Its 2½" above the hot shoe. I would have preferred more adjustment in the height. But there is no adjustment. I think 2½" is a bit too generous amount of room from the top of my Cannon 5d Mark III. I think maybe an 1½" would have been generous enough space. I would prefer the handle closer to the camera to reduce sway. Also so I could mount accessories above the handle.I would have probably preferred a handle that attaches to the 15mm rails. Then you can slide it back and forth for to center (balance) the weight for hand held shots. My top plastic screw fell out. Since its not holding anything I am going to have to periodically check to see if it loosened up. I would be what you would tighten for the top 15mm rails.3). Fits standard 15mm supporting rods. Height of it can be adjusted by 3.5cm through release and lock the 2 screws by side.Yes works as designed. All the levers are plastic. However, this part of my rig doesn't need to be super tight - just secure.4) Two filter trays, supporting 4"x 4" filter. One is about 90-degree rotatable, which will be helpful when you use gradual ND filter.I do have any 4"x 4" filter to test with.5). 4 pcs different size donuts included.(103mm,76mm,64mm,51mm). It is used to avoid large gap beside lens.I will not use these until I get 4"x 4" filter. I use zoom lens and they squeek when I put them through and they are of course in the way when I change lens. They do fit my 82, 77, and 67 mm lens well enough.Edit: October 29, 2014. I found an advantage to the French flags. Because they are flat they don't take up much space in my kit and work with any of my lens. I had a lens flare and adding a flag was a very easy fix.I also flipped the support bar. On the Cannon 5d Mark III the SD/CF card slot is on the right side of the camera. The rails which hold the matt box stick out so the door won't open enough so you can get the card(s) out. Probably like most users I am in and out of that card slot quite frequently. So to open the door I had to slide the matt box forward. I looked at how this was constructed and recognizing I have a solid set of Allen head bits and a Phillips head screwdriver, I took on the project to switch it to the other side. It took about an hour to accomplish this. There are about 8 Allen head screws to remove and replace. 2 of the 6 are very small ones that are hidden. I would only recommend someone who has the right tools and pays strong attention to how this is built take on this modification, because its easy to get parts upside down or backwards. There There are a couple of drawbacks to this modification. The "retaining" screw that holds the hinge mechanism locked is now pointing down. One of the 4x4 filter holders screw is in a tighter spot to turn. Of course I had to mount the follow focus on the other side, but that was a easy fix with just removing the gear and putting it on the other side.

which some may not like, however it did not affect me other than ...
Much bigger than I expected, but well made. If you are switching over from the Filmcity MB-600, just know that this one is bigger, which some may not like, however it did not affect me other than having to make more room in my case.

Not bad at all...
I needed a (non plastic) Matte box for filming, nothing extravagant but none of the $24 ones either, you know the ones i'm talking about! I had tagged a few C-Clamps as well, really needed an overhead handle, total cost of my wish list items, $400+ those were the Cowboy studio C-clamp and the Cinematics matte box. I then saw this, it had good quality pictures, all in one 15mm support so I jumped at the chance. On arrival and on first sight, the Matte box it's self is a plastic casing, but impact plastic, not choc-box plastic, so good point (lighter), Matte box French flag and side flags are thin light metal. The Matte box does close back kind of level but it is just fine with a little force to just where you need it. The 2 layer filters rotate and come out, if you need them rather than do it in post. The 15mm mounting from the side is firm and really does not present any stability issues at all, I like this in fact, it allows me to add and remove to the shoulder mount under 15mm rails with relative ease.I've mounted this to a Neewer basic shoulder mount (I'll see about posting pictures), with this the top C-Clap rail handle is, good, actually is awesome and stable too, I really do like this a lot, it now allows placing on shoulder, tripod and general handling just perfectly in every aspect. One negative on this that was a shame and isn't noticeable in the pictures are some of the "blue" adjusters (other than the Matte Box) on the C-Clamp are plastic, and while they can and most likely will be replaced over time, is the only thing I can see as a con with this. But in short, the price, the build and the functionality you get for $170, is very, very good, good enough I'd buy again and/or recommend for anyone wanting ths to add to their rig and last long enough to get some good use out of it.

Great kit with 2 small exceptions.
Like the other FOTGA products I've purchased this one is extremely well made especially considering the price break between their gear and many of the bigger names out there. My ONLY complaints are fairly small but I find the bulky handle a bit annoying after carrying the kit fully loaded in the field after a bit of time. A more ergonomic handle would be nice. More importantly, It would be a tremendous advantage if you could close the flags down flat in front of the box for storage and transportation purposes. Oddly the screws that hold the flags in place are on the inside edge instead of the outside so the only way to easily store or safely transport the unit to minimize risk of damage is to completely remove the flags. I find that a big strange as the solution would be very simple from a design point of view and not really add to the cost of manufacturing.

Not as good as I thought it would be
The unit is more difficult to use than expected. The c bracket doesn't tighten evenly on the 15mm rods always leaving one loose. The barn doors are good but the lens foam sleeve was impossible to use. Not as good as I thought it would be however it is functional with a lot of fiddling.

堅牢でしっかりしてますが…
作りもしっかりしているのですが、羽根を固定するビスが2つ欠落していました。それだけが残念です。

Wobbly, noisy, cheap.
I was hoping this would save my life from the absurdity of similar items costing about 5 times as much. I guess the good old "you get what you pay for" applies in this case. The cage makes tons of noises if held while filming, and it really does not feel sturdy when using the handle. The Matte box is alright, nothing amazing - still functional.

Ottimo!
Ottimo! A questo prezzo sinceramente mi aspettavo diverse parti in plastica mentre in realtà è completamente in metallo e super solido! Arrivato in qualche giorno e puntuale con la data prevista di Amazon!

Prodotto valido, arrivato rotto
