Quality is back!
For a long time it was impossible to find this product in its original quality form, but finally the quality has returned. The foam is thick and sturdy, and the adhesive really stays where you put it. We rely on this product to prevent the serious life and limb threatening pressure ulcers that come with my husband's diabetes, and we are so grateful that the quality is back!

Excellent Product and Price
This 1/4" thick felt is very durable. I am near 300lbs and wear as directed by my podiatrist. Lasts weeks used in work boots. The paper backing is tricky to remove at first. You are expecting a very thin layer of paper to peel off with a thin layer left on the felt. Actually, all the paper peels off and leaves a layer of adhesive only on the felt.Warning here. The adhesive is VERY strong. You may have a problem removing this felt from the insoles of shoes or wherever you must use it. To make it easy to remove, place tape on the area you want to put this felt. Put the felt over the tape. Now when you need to remove the felt, the tape under it pulls free of the surface easier than the felt would.

Very Sticky, Good Padding, Made it Work
I bought this thick padding to place on either side of a pressure point on my foot. I mainly wear the padding at night, so I want to be able to remove it easily and stick it to slick backing from little adhesive circles until I am ready to reapply it. This product is great on thickness and padding. The adhesive is very sticky. When I applied the adhesive directly to my skin, it stayed put. Unfortunately, when I peeled the padding off of my foot, the adhesive stayed behind. It was almost impossible to remove- I finally used nail polish remover. And there was no adhesive left on the padding, so reuse was not possible. You might think that I am unhappy with this product, but I found an easy way to make it work for me. The regular thin sheets of moleskin did not provide enough thickness for my purpose, but they adhere well and peel off very easily. So, my solution was to buy thin Walgreen’s brand moleskin and cut strips from that. Then I cut small squares of the thick padding and stick it to the end of the Walgreens moleskin. When I have it assembled, I remove the backing from the Walgreen’s moleskin and apply it my foot. I am able to use these strips for almost a week (removing them every day). No damage to my skin. This large roll of thick padding will last a very long time the way that I am using it. I have used the same method to apply the thick padding to the inside of a sandal strap that was rubbing my toe, because I want to be able to remove it without the adhesive residue staying on the sandal.

Desperate for relief of foot pain-this helps!
This has worked well to build up the arches in my shoes and I also stick it to the bottom of my feet on days I'm not wearing my modified shoes. My arches had went from super high to completely flat within just a couple of months. I spend a lot of time out of my "good" shoes in the house or out gardening which left my feet unsupported much of the time. Being able to apply the pads directly to my feet has allowed me to wear my crappy garden shoes without giving up the support my feet need. I combine this 1/4" product with 1/8" foam to make a pad that varies in depth where I need more or less than 1/4" of support. Adhesive is strong and stays put in shoes for an extended period (haven't had to replace any yet). It lasts all day attached to my foot unless my feet get soaked too many times in the garden. Adhesive does leave residue on skin that easily washes off with a little baby oil or alcohol (or whatever I have handy). The minute it takes to clean off is well worth the reduction in pain I get all day. The pads still seem sticky enough for another day's use, but I've never had them stay in place well to get another day of use out of them.

Used to work but latest batch is defective
I bought this product from this vendor a few years ago and it worked very well. Reordered the same item, but now it does not work. It is impossible to separate the adhesive backing from the protective film. As a result, the whole double sided adhesive paper comes off the felt pad.

Highly recommend
My podiatrist recommended I get this for an arch support. It is easy to cut to fit to fit my arch. I also bevel the edges to make it more comfortable. Once I figured out the size I needed, I made a pattern to use for the next time and keep it with the product. It has been working great!
