Transformers
I love these pads and they are amazing protection, but they are really, really thick. They don't look strange to other people, but when you're looking down at them you'll feel like a transformer with these big blocks of things sticking out from your knees. That fun aside, they feel great, they're easy to get on and off since they're not slip-ons, they stay in place and are secure, and once they're broken in, they're really comfortable. Fall on your knees and you won't feel any pain with these.

Doesn’t fit as described
Ok so I measured EXACTLY how it says to. And ordered accordingly... they came and DO NOT FIT. Now I had to reorder and hope that 2xl-3xl fits otherwise I guess I can’t do roller derby. Unless you have thighs the same size as your calves then these will cut off circulation... This is super frustrating because no sporting goods shops carry these types of equipment so we are relying on the sellers to advise us accurately. Size up - the seller did approve my return request now I just have to wait for however long this process takes.

Suitable for aggressive skate
I got this for learning aggressive skate. This is the largest knee gear profile I have. It's very sturdy and you feel nothing when you drop on your knee. In my opinion, this is best suit for skate park skating. Any urban freestyle skating on the street will need a bit of training using these as they can get in the way when doing cross-over. I imagine derby player will have hard time using this, but 187 do have knee gear specifically for derby. The only down side is, the inner valkrow can be too short i.e. if you grow a bit, you won't be able to do the inner strap so measure carefully and be generous. Mine fit, by just!

Best pads I've ever had
These are by far the best pads I have ever owned. I had TSG Pro as well as some thinner 187s in the past. The 187 Pro Knee Pads are absolutely far and away, the best. They fit perfectly and stay snug on my knees. The best part for me is they slide true. They stay straight on my knees as I slide so I'm directly on the caps every time. My previous TSGs would twist sideways every time so the pad next to the caps wore through. The stretch material on the back of 187s is thick and seems very durable as well. This is also a contrasting point to my previous TSGs that had a much thinner elastic which developed holes and tears after about a year. Highly recommend 187 Pro Knee Pads

The best pads hands down
The best knee pads hands down. Once I started skateboard again, after a 10 year break, I quickly found that it was alot harder to get it from a good slam and I knew that I needed to start wearing knee pads when I was skating.I wish these had been the first pads that I bought, but unfortunately I tore through several others sets of cheaper knee pads first.Once I finally ponied up and bought these I was glad I did. Although no knee pad can protect you from everything, these ones sure do put in work.Initially was very put-off by how far they stick outbodf of your knee, probably a good 4or 5 inches, but once I mentally got past that I realized how great these pads we're.I'm 14 months in and still extremely pleased with this purchase.P.S. Check out Killer Pads website for details on how to pick the right size. Using their chart, mine ended up fitting as expected.

Best protection
What can i say. I looked to get the best for my sons saftey when he goes big. My first thought was what I used when I was young Protec. But we soon learned that there knee pads along with there helmets technology should have stayed in the 80's. 187 killer pro pads hands down best protection out there for your knee's anyway. Helmets however i found triple 8 Gotham with mips. It's a little spendy but its worth it.

Worth the extra cost over riveted pads
If you really need to protect yourself these pads, or the smaller Derby pads, will not let you down. I have been skating Triple Eight street style pads for several years. I’ve never had the confidence to truest knee slide out of a fall in the bowl at the skatepark. Now I know why. These pads are rock solid. They don’t slide around and possible down your knee when you fall. The padding is amazing. Heavy hits to the knee aren’t painful unlike my previous pads that really still let a lot of the impact forces through to my body. Should have upgraded to these as soon as I knew I wasn’t just playing around with skating bowls etc. highly recommend.

The Best Gear Ever!
Absolutely love this gear! It is all super comfortable and extremely durable. I purchased a set when I first started Derby. (Fresh meat pick from a couple of years ago.) I won't use anything other than 187 Pro gear. Has saved this almost 50-year old knees plenty of times! I highly recommend.
