Cake, but cookies.
Got a chance to finally make these. These are fairly simple to put together, especially if you have a mixer. The whole birthday cake flavor to them is not my favorite, essentially just a yellow-cake ish taste with sprinkles inside the cookies to give it that frosted flavor. A bit too sweet if you ask me, without anything else going on, but they do come out with a nice airy fluffy consistency and warm up very nicely. Next time i'd go for other flavors but these aren't bad.

Tasty Cake-like Cookies
These Birthday Cake Soft Baked cookies were easy to make, and they taste like a cross between a cupcake and cookie when done. They're not as sweet as typical cookies, but frosting does add plenty of that if you want it. I did have two comments on baking, though:1) The instructions say to refrigerate the dough if it's too sticky to roll, but I recommend doing that even if they don't seem too sticky at first. About halfway through my batch, the dough got more sticky because it warmed up, but my hands were too coated at that point to easily put them into the fridge. I wound up with about a cookie's worth of dough stuck to my fingers at the end.2) Monitor cooking time closely. My oven has always landed within the time frame given on all the boxed mixes I've used across all brands, so I set these to the minimum amount expecting that to be a good starting point to check them. They were already overcooked at that time and probably could've been pulled a minute or two before the instructions stated. Obviously, ovens and locations as well as the type of cookie sheet used will alter the time needed, so others may have different experiences, but as this is the first time I haven't landed within a stated window, I thought it worth mentioning.Overall, though, these are good cake-like cookies that are easy and quick to make and provide a decent-sized batch of large cookies for a family treat or party snack. For those who like their sweets to be not-too-sweet, these are perfect as-is. For those who prefer more traditional sweetness, frosting them is recommended, but even better, these will make excellent ice cream sandwiches.

Caked up cookies
As opposed to a lot of cake flavored things this has the benefit of being basically a modified cake mix. So it's less birthday cake flavored and just cake in cookie form. Works out well I think. Just as easy to make as any other box mix, just combine the ingredients and mix. Low barrier to entry and the final product tasted good.

Soft & delicious but not convenient
Birthday cake / confetti is my favorite type of cookie, so I had to try this. The dough is a bit tough to handle once all of the ingredients are together, so I’d recommend using your hands or an electric mixer instead of a whisk. Once baked though, the cookies turn out soft and delicious with a lovely birthday cake flavor. Perfect for a sweet treat.
