Very nice rod/reel. The case is very nice as well. Extra rod/tip provides options when fishing. Lures are basic/starter kit, but the plastic case is a nice size. Bought two (shorter and longer rod lengths).

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas, and he loves it! I was so afraid of buying one that wasn't very good, but he said it's the nicest pole he's ever owned.

Total China garbage my 11 year old grandson was even disappointed. I had ordered it for him.

I began fishing in March of 2016. I got a Walmart - Berkley 25lbs Medium Heavy Rod. it was a 2 bearing, non-smooth reel and super stiff / heavy 2 piece rod. After I fished with it for about 6 months, I began searching for a new rod, preferably, Baitcasting reel/rod. I wanted it because I wanted to get into lure fishing instead of throw & wait. For that purpose, I wanted a light weighted rod. Since I was laid off and needed to save money, I searched for few non-famous brand rod & reel combo, Camero was the first one that caught my attention.Since this one only had 2 reviews, I was hesitant to purchase it and waste my money. However, after few questions back and forth, I decided to get it. First surprising thing was the shipping. I ordered it on Saturday night, and it only took 4 nights! Photos of how it ships is included for your reference. It came heavily wrapped, with protective/stiff canvas case inside, and rods were shipped inside of a pvc pipe. I got everything they mentioned. Two rod tips with different rating (I got Medium and Medium Heavy), Bottom Rod with EVA grips, and Camero Lefthanded Baitcasting Reel.This fishing rod is not old-classy looking rod, rather it's modern and sleek looking. Reel gear was smooth and spool turn is flawless. I could cast out further than other people fishing, which made me scream from inside with joy. Spool holds about 5 yards of monofilament backing with 100 yds of braided line (comes in the package so you don't have to buy it!). Star drag control was precise and doesn't change, and way the handle felt was nice. All together without the line, it weighed about 380g. which is not super super light rod that's used for top-water, walking the dog, but light enough to lure-fishing. Handle is very well ergonomically shaped so it did not hurt my hand. The way my finger wraps around the rod/reel was natural and comfy.About the control. Tension knob and magnetic fine-control brake (I got the cyan one) was little hard to learn (my first baitcaster combo, duh). but it was easy to adjust on the fly. Just set the Magnetic brake to 5+ setting and just use the tension knob to control. With 7:1 ratio reel, I don't have to reel like I'm finger racing. with 7'9" in length. I can throw it further than most of the people except those with 10 ft surf rod.I highly recommend this combo for those who just got into baitcasting. I went fishing three times with this rod just to write a review. No sign of wearing down, malfunction, or breakage. I've caught 5 lbs catfish on this thing and the rod held it really well.Thank you J&J for posting this awesome combo. I highly appreciate it :)Update - 11/17Pros about this rod- I can throw it really really far. Since it's light and long, with 1 oz weight, I can throw it further than the longer rod with heavy weight.- Very durable and it rod power is awesome. I got a 29 inch redfish on it and not a problem (pic posted below)- Canvas bag is awesome. It actually fits 2 rods & reels. I carry my wife's rod & reel with it too.Cons about this rod.- Just about every reels, It needs good lubrication after fishing. I go fishing once a week. Make sure to lubricate the gears (through the hole) at least once every two times.

I really liked it as my first baitcaster.Good price and great item. Ships extremely quickly and came protected very well inside of a bag that was inside a pc tube that was inside a rod holder which is really nice. I use the holder for all my 2 pc rods. Really smooth and really like it. Would recomend
