what does this filter ( Nikken pimag aqua pour express ) , filter?

This is a micro sponge pre filter and is used with the carbon filter that goes with the AP Express. It is recommend to replace every 5 years at least or when it is stained complete through. It is great for catching the sediment in the water.

What is the diameter of the sponge?

About 4 and 1/8th inches wet. I would gusee that it is similar dry, out of the box, but don't know for sure.

Why are these considerably more expensive than directly through the Nikken page? Am i missing something?

Will this work for the original regular pimag system as well or just for the more advanced pimag aqua pour gravity?

I’m not sure about the original but we’ve had our Pimag for 8-10 years and it works great with it

Esta esponja no calza en el filtro para la que supuestamente está diseñada. Me entregaron una esponja redonda y el filtro es ovalado. La esponja es más pequeña que el filtro y más alta. No calza ni cortándola con tijeras. Desperdicio de dinero.
