I have been looking at this product and another way more expensive product to use to add security to my front door. I went with this one mainly for the price, rationalizing that if I didn’t feel it would be strong enough I would send it back and purchase the more expensive one. Well, I am very impressed with this Door Lock Brace. This is a very thick material, and there is NO way that anyone is going to force my door open with this installed. I did not have the tools necessary to install this on my tile floor, if your installing this on tile you will need a “Diamond drill bit, or called Tile Bit”, I had a Electrician friend, install mine, and he was very impressed with it and was going to order one for his door. It took him five minutes to install and he did use, in his opinion better screws than what was supplied with brace. My opinion, very surprised with the quality of this product for what I paid for it.

Very easy to install, used hardware given from vendor, very low profile plate with beveled edge for anti-trip hazard, very simple to slid door stopper , I personally installed the door stopper to a tiled floor , use a tile drill & 3 concrete screws , NO issues with the installation, very happy with the results, only payed about $11 for tile drill bit & ( 3 ). 2 1/4 in. Concrete screws ,floor bracket does not look ugly nor does it get in the way of a high traffic area I’m very pleased with the end results , I’ve already recommended this anti-kick safety floor bracket to a few of my family members & friends, buys you valuable time to keep your family safe & Thieves away , thank you very much for this affordable & effective product.

I like this door brace, with my one criticism (why I'm only giving four stars) being that it provides no provision to lock the metal in place. If you have a french door with windows, what's to stop a thief from breaking a window and sliding the metal piece out, then opening the door? It seems like such a simple task to add two holes in the metal so that a master lock could be added, making this type of entry impossible. For doors with no windows this item works perfectly well, however.

This is a great add-on for French doors, or any door really. Yes one door has posts on French doors but the other relies on the door lock. This overrides everything making the door too hard to break in and hopefully scaring away any intruders. I installed mine in a concrete floor. Three screws. Wasn't hard to do and is a solid deterrent that is nearly impossible to see or get to from the outside. Well made strong material. It will definitely do the job.

This was very easy to install and works just as described. It is a thick metal and slides in and out easily. It adds a level of security to the french doors that open off my bedroom into the backyard.

This door lock reinforcement is easy to install and simple to use. Although it works close to the floor, it acts firmly and consistently locks the door. Terefore, it must be installed well adjusted to press lightly on the door when in the closed position. It is a recommended choice for these purposes.
