Bluetooth / 802.15.1 Modules BLE USB Dongle 4.0 single mode

worked like a charm! my system supposedly already had BLE 4.0 radio built-in, but I couldn't get it to connect and recognize a Muse 2 biofeedback sensor array. This little dongle worked on the first try!

Had to update the driver on device manager once that happened worked like a charm with my cycleops on zwift and rouvy

If you're not a programmer, then this isn't the Bluetooth dongle you are looking for - however, if you are, and you do anything indepth with Bluetooth 4.0 LE, then this is the best money you'll ever spend. Unlike normal BT dongles, when this is installed in your computer, it shows up using the SPP (serial port) driver, and is accessible only via that - you're not going to be using your mouse with it. The first thing you'll want to do is download the SDK from their site (which you need to create an account for, which is lame, and only because this product is so awesome do I not ding them a star for this). Once it's installed, the real treat is their GUI tool - with this you can connect to bluetooth devices, view their GATT, read and write to specific UUID's - basically anything you'd want to do as a host. You can also configure it to act as a device, but I haven't needed to do that, so I can't speak to how it works, but based on the host side, it's probably great. For my purposes, I'm using it to access HRM devices on Windows 7 (thanks MS for not including all the BT profiles, talk about lame) - and for that I use their native C API. It's VERY different than any other API's I've used before (and I've used alot), and a bit clunky to work with - but it's really geared more towards embedded devices I suspect. Either way, you can quickly get something working in a few hours, and from there the sky's the limit. A very unique device, and an exceptional value.

Used this to update the firmware on my CycleOps Hammer using the Rouvy app on Windows 10. Worked perfectly. Half the price of buying from CycleOps and has the same BLUEGIGA manufacturer label. As far as I can tell they are the same thing. Bluetooth / 802.15.1 Modules BLE USB Dongle 4.0 single mode

Bought three. All three are duds, didn't work. These are expensive for what function it gave - didn't work.

I was using my spare laptop to control the Wedo 2.0 build for our FFL Jr team, but my laptop did not have bluetooth. i tried another style of bluetooth adapter, and it didn't work. So I found this one based on a recommendation, and this module works perfect.

I use this in order to use TrainerRoad on an older laptop. It is not as reliable as using my iphone but I much prefer having the larger screen in front of me rather than my phone.

I plugged this into my old desktop pc and am happily using bluetooth earbuds, speakers, and keyboards.
