Roomy and my son's film was just fine
I bought this for my son for a trip overseas.THE GOOD: The bag was spacious, easy to close, and easy for the TSA agent to open. It kept his film from being fogged by X-rays and organized his carry-on, too. Nothing like having film rolling around your backpack.THE BAD: A little pricey, but it is a Domke, made in the U.S.A. It will last forever- a good trade off.OVERALL: As with all Domke products, it's tough and functional. While it costs more than some others, it's made in the U.S.A. and will last.

Actually works
Took a trip to Japan and wanted to take a few rolls of film. I bought this only as a just-in-case as i was going to take it out and ask for it to be hand-checked anyway. But of course in the hustle-and-bustle of international travel I completely forgot to take the film out that was in my carry on backpack. I had packed the Domke with film rolls to the point where there was a bit of space around the opening near the flap and was worried that that might be a big enough of an opening to ruin the film from x-rays.I got to Japan and developed one of the rolls and it turned out perfectly fine.So i believe this product works just fine for its intended purpose.Note that i purchased the "small" version and it does not have enough space to fit film while it is in its box, and barely enough space for 9 rolls in their lidded plastic canisters. It can fit 7 rolls fine however, maybe more if you forgo use of the plastic canisters.

Handy for travel in airports
I still take out my film going through security xray but it gives me peace of mind if I forget. Nice quality bag to store film for travel. Thick but not too thick.

Good build quality
I use this for traveling with an X-ray badge, which I don't want exposed in airport security. Does the job, and is well made.

XRay bag
I need a x-ray bag when I go through the TSA that way my film will not be x-rayed. I used to have one. I lost it so now I have one.

Worked Great in Airports
I used this for my 35mm film that I took on vacation with me. I took it everywhere I went so I could switch film quickly. I completely forgot about it when I went through TSA/customs and forgot to have it hand checked. It went through and the photos came out without any issues! Very happy with this. I could only hold about 3 rolls of 35mm film in it comfortably, but that’s really all I needed at any given time.
