Superb build quality...
I upgraded the stock wheels on my Trek 2016 Domane 4.3.These DA wheels are noticeably lighter, but the BIG difference I noticed immediately was the ride quality. Same tires (Conti 4000sII 25mm) and the same old crappy roads. I'm no longer jonesing for a new bike. My Domane feels new...I'm not being hyperbolic.I'm no wheel builder and I don't know why there would be such a dramatic difference...maybe the carbon laminate? The old bikies always said the best upgrade you can make is a good set of wheels. They're RIGHT.Shimano lists these wheels at $1,149. I paid $881 including tax. For such a dramatic improvement at <900 bucks? It's a bargain. Compare that to a set of full-carbon wheels. Who needs 'em!!

Light Weight and Smooth Ride
These wheels are really no different than the SHIMANO Dura-Ace 9000 C24 Carbon Laminate Road Wheelset I had to replace. They lasted seven years and roughly 14,000 miles. When I broke a second spoke in less than a year, I decided to replace them. They aren't quite as durable as the Bontrager wheels on my other bike, but they ride nicer.

Great Wheelset
Remarkably one of the lightest, smoothest clincher wheelset you can buy. They easily can be had for around$1000. I've ridden them on Chicago's lakeshore which is rough on wheels: these are nearly indestructible.Wide full carbon wheels by their nature ride rough and are susceptible to dancing in the wind. I have Mavic R-sys and they are very good but seem delicate. Buy C-24's instead.

Great wheels
These are great wheels, and have held up well. I’ve put about 8k miles on these in tough Alaska riding conditions, and they’ve held up beautifully. I’m a strong 200 lb rider riding on rough roads and in frequent wet conditions, and still these wheels have stayed perfectly true and the bearings have not needed service. Running tubeless, they are noticeably faster and smoother than my previous Mavic Kyseriums. I’ve finally worn through the brake tracks, and will replace them with another set of C24s.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
I have been riding the 9000 c24's for 3 years now and they do not hold up. The finish is pulling away from the rim and causing the rim to appear white. Where the finish is flaking off, you can see the black unfinished rim. Not worth the money if you want to have a nice looking rim for longer than a couple years. Since Shimano only warranties rims for 1 year, your money is better spent elsewhere.
