Better than expected I love it! So I bought a second. In the bedroom I used warm bulbs, in the home office I used daylight bulbs, and in both cases I bought dimmable bulbs and installed dimmer switches. Two great looks. One user reported the difuser as being brown— it is not! It is covered with brown paper that is meant to be pulled away. Likewise one had white paper, but in both cases it is prective paper meant to protectt the difuser during shipping. This gives you two options one side the difuser has a shiny surface (protected with shipping paper) and the other is a very matt surface. So you have a choice of looks.

We got this for our dining room in the new house we bought. The old chandelier just didn't match the style house. This has a modern look to it and the black/bronze aspects matched the oil rubbed bronze hardware (door knobs, hinges, etc) that we have in the house. The light is easy to install and overall looks great. Only major compliant is I feel $70 is just too much for something like this. While a great light, $50 seems more like what this is worth. It diffuses light nicely but I think it takes some warmth away from the "Soft White" LED bulbs, making them a little more WHITE-like (though my wife disagrees).

We just got done installing the lights in our bedroom. We like the overall look. The one thing I'm not thrilled about is that even though the hardware is brushed nickel, the metal rims around the drum are shinny silver. So they don't really match. The lights give off a lot of light, which we need. The room is big. We used 2700K LED light bulbs and placed the frosty side of the diffuser towards the floor. They came packed nicely and no damage to the parts. My husband thought the price was a little too much considering how little material there is to the lights.

The first light I ordered was missing mounting brackets and the proper mount screws that matched the bronze of the lamp. After I returned the lamp someone from the company reached out to me via email and confirmed that the missing pieces were not a recurring issue. So I ordered again, and thankfully all the mounting pieces were included. The only reason for the four stars is the initial issue with missing parts.I am moderately handy and installed the light myself in probably an hour. The light looks great, and you just cannot beat it for the price. I was actually upset that I had to originally return the light, because I could not find another one that I liked as much that did not cost multiples of this one. The shade does have a seam, but do not think that is unexpected, so you just have to place out of what may be the most common view. I put the light in my dining room and considering it replaced an old golden chandelier, this light makes the entire room look so much better. Since the light takes three bulbs it also does a great job of lighting up the room. Their is a plastic insert that fits below the light that does a good job of hiding the fixture, from underneath the light I do not even see any open seems between the placement of the plastic insert and the sides of the shade. The shade is primarily white, while the plastic insert is frosted white, so the white light shines through, I do not notice any notable dimming of the light or tinting of the light due to the color of the shade or plastic insert. The light has been up for at least a month now and all is well. Very happy with the light and the price.

I am very pleased with this purchase. We installed it in the dining room where we needed a little more light. The diffuser softens the light so it gives the adequate amount of light but does not glare. We used three 60 watt bulbs which is the maximum however you can use less depending on your preference.

Looking for a bright light for my 80 year old Mom and this unit was great. Ended up using bright LED Daylight bulbs and my Mom is super happy. Priced right and easy to install.

This is nice looking fixture, and very bright. I really like it. I don't have much experience with the cost of such fixtures, but this one seems to be a decent value. Install was hard only due to my existing wiring/box. If you have a modern/typical 3 wire box, then fairly easy. Set-nut tolerance could be a little greater and also the bottom cover came a little scatched on the inside (not easily noticeable though), and is also tricky to install. Overall, I'd say I am happy with it.

Looks cheap and it was. The plastic circle that fits on the bottom was scratched. I would not buy again. Spend a bit more money for a better one.

This was a huge step up in the lighting for my home office. The large drum format of this light makes for more even lighting in the room with softer shadows. It has a very simple aesthetic, which I appreciate too. Installation was relatively straight forward, as I had an idea what I needed to be done with the parts.The flaws:1. This sits closer to the ceiling than the product images look.2. The installation instructions are poorly thought out. In particular, a couple of the steps are reversed from what made sense physically.3. As others have noted, there is a overlap in the drum fabric. I don't mind it much, but none of the product images show it.4. The pegs holding in the bottom frosted bottom are longer than they need to be, making it tricky to install the panel after bulbs are in place. It's definitely not going anywhere though.

Nicely packaged and well made. I would have liked a recessed look for the frosted diffuser as opposed to it sitting on three protruding legs to give it a cleaner look but overall I am very happy. I’d rather have the diffuser than to look up and see the bulbs so it’s still a great feature! I am giving it 4 stars because of this.

I've got this lamp in brushed nickel and it came with brown diffuser plate. Is this how it suppose to be? because picture shows white. It cheapens the look tremendously! this is the only concern I have.

It's nice.. not too fancy, but not too cheap for such a simple lamp. My husband said it was tricky to install
