La Almona Pure Castile Liquid Soap is a concentrated, all-purpose liquid soap, manufactured with organic olive oil in the true, old-world tradition of Castilla, Spain. This liquid soap is baby-safe and ideal for sensitive skin or those who simply want one of the purest, mildest, yet highly effective and versatile soaps known to mankind. Hands, Hair & Body: Apply directly on hands, hair or wash cloth for bathing. Dishes, Bathrooms & Tiles: Use full strenght. For tougher jobs, let soak. Laundry: Use 1/4 to 1/3 cup of liquid soap per standard 6-8 lbs load. General Cleaning: Dilute in water up to 50% (equal parts water and liquid soap). Floors: dilute in water 99% (2 tbsp. of soap per gallon of water). Fabrics: Mix 1 cup water, 1/8 cup liquid soap, 1/2 tsp. baking soda and 1 tbsp. white vinegar into spray bottle. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST ALL ORGANIC CASTILE LIQUID SOAP
Tried Dr. Bonner's Unscented Baby Mild...This is hands down the best and an exceptional value to beat! Comes with separate pump type attachment for easier use. Much better for shampoos (doesn't dry hair or scalp), home DIY cleaning needs, including dishes and laundry. Great for dogs (dilute down with water), leaves their coats clean, shiny and soft. Essential oils blend very nicely La Almona castile soap. For dry hair and scalp: add Jojoba oil and Aloe Vera Gel for awesome all in one shampoo moisturizer without tangles; excellent combination for those with scalp conditions. A little goes a very long way. Suds galore that rinse easily, clean and without build-up. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for those wanting a greener healthier lifestyle.

So amazing and helpful!
Since purchasing this Castile soap in the one-gallon size with the lavender scent just a few weeks ago I have already switched over to making my own hand soap, dish liquid, HE Laundry Soap (note if making HE laundry soap BE CAREFUL to DILUTE the Castile with water so IT IS SAFE AND NON/LOW-SUDSING FOR HE WASHING MACHINES. In my recipe (which has more ingredients than just Castile Soap) I use ONLY 1 ounce of Castile Soap per gallon of water,) one ounce of Castile Soap to on, and Dishwasher Detergent. My Dishwasher detergent recipe was the toughest to figure out. It took me several tries with different ingredients before I got it perfect and to the performance level of Cascade Complete or higher. Instead of using a store bought optical brightener in my washing machine I instead added a teaspoon of Hydrogen Peroxide to my homemade laundry detergent. I store my laundry peroxide in a plastic dark colored toothpaste squeeze bottle as it pours easier into a measure teaspoon than it does out of the drug store bottle. I am also using plain vinegar and citric acid as my dishwasher rinse aid. I store my large, 4-gallon batch of soap in a 4-gallon bucket and refill old plastic laundry detergent for ease of pouring. I use old hand and dish soap bottles with old-fashioned labels instead of having to purchase others for this purpose. I am very thankful to have this soap with the wonderful, mostly organic ingredients. I have tried other Castile soaps but was disappointed. This one gives such an emollient texture and has citric acid also as a component. I like the aloe and olive oil and Rosemary as they are anti-aging and preserve the skin’s youthfulness. In my opinion, this is the best Castile soap and I will purchase more when I run out. So why did I only give it four stars? Because the width of the aperture of the bottle is wider than I need. Instead of ripping off the manufacturer’s seal I poked a small hole in it closest to where I pour out my soap and this solved the problem easily.-Julie SandsUPDATE 8/24/18I had to switch back to using Finish Jet Dry as my dishwasher rinse aid as the performance of my home made one (that did not use Castile soap,) was sporadic. I found out using plain household bleach along with the Castile soap in the dishwasher was a good idea. I have been so inspired by the high quality levels of the ingredients in the La Almona Castile Soap that I came up with a new invention. It is a type of soap dispenser that spritzes with a trigger the Castile soap/water blend. This 1-1 ratio of the La Almona castile and water I use as a hand soap and a dish soap for my spouse’s and my hand washable dishes. So I came up with the invention of a decorative trigger dispenser for this that sits on the sink. Less castile soap/water solution is used to wash the dishes, and an individual dish is given one small squirt, as are the hands when washing them. Just the right amount is dispensed, and I find I am using less water to wash my hand washable dishes. The soap leaves me hands supple and soft and my spouse’s also. He has commented on how much he likes my new invention and of using this soap on his hands and the feeling it leaves that he has put lotion on his hands, even though he has not, the soap is that wonderful. Our dishes feel silky smooth also.UPDATE 11/30/18I found out that this brand soap is also a great jewelry cleaner and if a brush is used it works as well as commercial brush stick style jewelry cleaners. I decided to do this for environmental reasons as I reuse an old brush stick of mine and know that the brush stick containers are very well made and was worried my local recycling center might not know what to do with them or just so busy. So I realized I can use castile soap to clean my jewelry and just re-use my old jewelry brush stick. I might even paint a painting with my other two empty jewelry brush sticks that have been sitting in my bathroom for years, using them as a paint brush.12/27/18 AMAZING INVENTION UPDATE:La Almona castile soap has so inspired me with its many organic ingredients I have just invented a wonderful spray on grooming solution for the nether regions after showering, a silken mousse, using La Almona Castile Soap. It is non-irritating and for those that are particular like myself and must have the body looking gorgeous, most of us epilate, just leaving a small amount of hair there. Since it is such a small amount sometimes after showering, the nether (pubic) hair looked too straight and had lost its fluffy look. My new spray brings that back and keeps that hair soft as down. It can also be sprayed on the bare skin underneath the front part of the nether for those of us that keep that perfect, and can be sprayed on the behind area as a conditioner after routine epilation to maintain the perfection there. I just spray coif briefly with my fingers and I look even more gorgeous. For men that keep their chest hair coiffed, it will also work for this and even those with light beards, etc. I recommend epilation for hair removal and also laser hair removal. Epilation is actually not painful and since the hair is pulled out with the root it is around three months before regrowth. I DO NOT recommend waxing as that is very painful, especially in the nether area.-Julie Sands

Too runny, not comparable to Dr Bronner's
This soap might seem ok if you've never used Dr Bronner's castile soapbut, if you have, you won't be satisfied. I make my own body wash and had originally used Dr Bronner's but when it came time to buy more I purchased a gallon of this castile soap thinking it was a great price compared to a gallon of Dr Bronner's. It just doesn't work the same and we have to use WAY more to get the body wash to foam up. It seems like its really watered down. I've only used about 1/4 of this gallon container, and already had to repurchase a gallon of Dr Bronner's. I learned from this mistake and won't buy this again. It is truly an inferior product.

Wonderful for baby with sensitive skin!!
I hadn't heard of this brand, but decided to give it a try. My 6-month-old has extremely sensitive skin. She can't tolerate detergents (like me...Not even "gentle" unscented aveeno products or unscented wipes). I used a tablespoon of this soap in a homemade baby wipe solution and have been using it to bathe her (hair too) for a week now. It's just wonderful! Compared to dr bronners, this soap is much less drying (I noticed this on my own hands)! Her diaper rash is clearing up beautifully and she's stopped scratching at her head and a few patches of eczema she had on her body. The soap is thin but a little goes a long way on a washcloth! We'll definitely be buying again!!

Works Really well with my foam soap dispenser
I really like this soap because although it is a bit runny and could have a thicker consistency, it works really well in a foam soap dispenser. I would really advise whoever purchases this to try it using a foam soap dispenser (1 part soap and 5 parts water) and add a few drops of essential oil if you would like. I've found that it foams even better than other brands of soap! Hope this helps :)

CastileDeal!
when it comes to castile soaps, we have used them all- and this brand is as good as any. some of the unscented castile soaps still have a smell, this one is virtually scent free. this soap is very gentle and works great as body wash, face wash, and hand soap; i have eczema and this soap is nonirritating. we also use it for laundry detergent and dish soap, works well in both cases. also works great in the carpet cleaner. its the same consistency as all the other castile soaps...

Consistent quality, good price.
Previous Bronner's customer who has happily switched to La Almona. While I liked the peppermint scent/feel of Bronner's, I generally prefer unscented. This brand seems high-quality, and has same consistency and feel of other brands that are even more costly. Ingredient label does list some items that you'd think you would notice in the smell, but I don't, thankfully. I've ordered a few bottles already, and will likely continue to purchase.

Natural Product, smells rancid!
I was looking for a natural organic liquid soap without chemicals, and this product seemed to work great... For a week or two. (We used it mainly as foaming hand soap). I bought several gallons, but the soap started smelling rancid just after a few uses – both bottles. Extremely dissapointed.
