Philips HD 7459/20 Daily Coffee Machine [Energy Class A+]

My first ever filter machine was a Philips, and because that was such a good one, I wanted another model from the same company.This looks a decent machine - and it is a very good price. I looked at machines 4 or 5 times the price, and thought "what's so special about this machine for me to pay £100 or more, when this one is less than £25"?The machine arrived from Amazon (on my order it states that it was delivered to a resident, but it wasn't - it was left outside my house - but that's not Philips issue). Unpacking it, I was surprised to see that it has a European plug and not a British one, but that's fine, as I have adapters at home. Cleaning it prior to use, very simple.To pour water in to the reservoir, you need to open the top. The water comes from the reservoir and drips onto the coffee - but the arm which delivers the hot water appears to be over the reservoir and so initially I thought it won't drip over the coffee - but when you close the lid, it automatically moves over.Switching the machine on the light blue indicator is illuminated, but then goes off - not sure why, or what the relevance of having a light for a few seconds. Coffee takes a few minutes and then it is ready to drink. Comparing this machine to others, the temperature of the coffee is higher - perfect.Now, what are the negatives? Well, the instructions were really quite poor. Luckily to make coffee in this machine is quite simple - but even so, if I wanted to use the other buttons (I think I can time it to make the machine switch itself on at a specific time) the instructions aren't that helpful. But I'll cope with the instructions.The only issue I have with the machine which wasn't mentioned on the description, is it will switch off automatically after 30 minutes. I don't like that, I don't want that - and I can't prevent it. I appreciate that someone has decided that probably all coffee machines should do this, but that ought to be my decision. I also appreciate that after a certain length of time, the chemical reactions that take place, mean that the potassium level in the coffee increases.So, my only negative issue is the switching off.Overall, I think it's well worth the money - and I do recommend this filter coffee machine.

I love my coffee machine. It only takes minutes for it heat coffee and I can drink it

Coffee recommendations for use??

The coffee maker is exactly as expected .Initially unusable because it has a two pin plug.I needed to buy an adapter.It is however the correct voltage for the UK.
