Aidonger Hiking Backpack, Vintage Canvas Backpack Shoulder Bag Daypack

Bought this as i wanted backpack for hiking and cycling and i got what i wanted! Quality of this backpack is great. Very comfortable or your back. Took it for a hike to Ben Nevis, Scaffel Pike and did a day of mountain cycling. It felt good on back and didnt interrupt with my activities at all. Plenty of space for items and has few different departaments. I liked that it has few metal rings on the back, so i could hang my water bottle on it. The zip on side instead of the top felt strange at first, but when i got used to it and i kinda like it that way, Great purchase.By the way, it has all the accessories to use it as a shoulder bag, but i havent used it that way so cant comment.

I ordered this to use for college. When I first opened the box, I was surprised by the quality of the backpack (in a good way), though a little concerned with how small it seemed. That was dispelled as I began loading stuff into it.My 15" laptop slipped in easily, but nothing larger could fit. There was enough space inside for all the books I need throughout the day. Thanks to the numerous front pockets and the ease of access they provide, I won't have to carry a purse much, if at all.Update:Freshman year of college is completed, and this was the only bag I used. It’s held up great! Every day of the week it’s been crammed full of books and journals and lunches, and one time even twenty 16oz water bottles. Nothing’s ripped or broken, not even a zipper. I couldn’t possibly be be happier with this purchase.

I bought this because I wanted something smaller than my usual backpack that had a good amount of pockets for organizing things. This backpack is a good size, and can hold everything I need for school everyday (in the picture there is a 1 inch binder, two smaller notebooks, a larger 5-subject notebook, two textbooks, about 4 folders filled with handouts, my kindle, my planners, and my pencil case) in the main pocket. In the front pockets, I can put my tablet and any smaller things that I want to bring with me without having them jostled around throughout the day (tissues, wallet, etc). I can also fit my 13-inch laptop in the pocket for it, and it looks like a 14-inch would fit fine as well. The canvas seems sturdy enough, and the leather zippers are great. Also, the two non-zipper pockets on the front actually have velcro on them to help keep them closed, which I found nice if I wanted to put my wallet or anything I needed quick access to in them. Overall, this is a good everyday backpack for school.

This backpack is everything I needed for college. I read a review that said the water bottle holders on the side were too small... This is not true. At least not with the one I received. It's a little bit of a tight stretch, but my over-sized water bottle fits snugly inside. I also carry my umbrella in the one on the other side. The pockets in the front of the backpack are just the right size to hold the things I would normally carry around in a purse like my chapstick, pill bottle, gum packages, small planner, etc. The main pocket fits my Accounting textbook, math workbooks, and my history book... Thank God I don't have to carry all that because it's heavy! The backpack is sturdy enough to maintain the weight, but my back is not. Overall, a wonderful purchase and I would highly recommend it to anyone searching for a good bag for college.

I'm surprised to see how well made this bag is. Looks strong and sturdy yet soft and comfortable at the same time. It can be a backpack or a shoulder bag as the straps can be easily stored and hidden. The main compartment is large and there is a dedicated sleeve for you to store a laptop, up to 15.4". When using it as a backpack, I do feel it's kinda weird to have the zipper opens from the left side instead of from the top like any normal backpack out there. It's not really a major issue, though, as there are two strap buckles that can help prevent the zipper from sliding down. The hip belt feature when using it as backpack is another plus, it helps transfer most of your pack weight off your shoulder and onto your hips. That means you can use the biggest muscle in your body (i.e. leg muscles) to carry most of the weight.My only complaint, if any, is that it took so long to get delivered as it wasn't eligible for Prime shipping. I wish I opted for expedited shipping.

I purchased this bag for a trip to Peru.CONS: Broken zipper tabs. The first week in Peru 3 weeks of owning the bag the leather pulls on the top zippers broke. on both zippers. MEGA CON: I use the bag maybe twice a week after the orginal Peru trip. I had had the bag for less then 9 months and the two tops zippers have broken completly.Pros: Very spactious. The bag has a lot of space lots of pockets and if you pay attention to the space under the lap top holder you can shove way more then you would think. I fit a lot in this bag and travled all across Peru with this bag as my suitcase.Great canvas. The Canvas is good quality the fit works for me and I'm a busty woman.It's probably going to cost $30-$40 to get the zippers fixed. It's not just the zipper, the teeth are ripped and bent. I didn't use the bag enough for this type of break down. I'm debating on the fix. If the zippers had made it more then a few weeks and less then a year I would have given the bag a four star, but it's useless without working primary zippers. very disapointedUpdated the zippers have ripped and the teeth no longer hold together. I don’t use this all that often. It’s less then a year old. Don’t bother you can’t use it without working zippers. And the metal zipper split how the hell.
