Good and Honest
First let me say that in general The Order:1886 is going to be the Benchmark for years to come and you should buy it! Now allow me to explain: First let me say that in general The Order:1886 is going to be the Benchmark for years to come and you should buy it! Now allow me to explain: 1. For years as consumers, we have been campaign for entertainment that gives us the best of both worlds. We want video games that respond and look like movies. And while other games tried to push that limit(Call of Duty, Uncharted, God of War) we were still left with the emotion of playing a game. Hence, The Order 1886 was created. 2. Now before you rip that first point apart, We were FORETOLD that this game was a CINEMATIC experience. Now the question I have for everyone, have you ever went to the movies and controlled the outcome? Control how the character reacts to situations? WIth The Order, you get to do that in a CINEMATIC approach. Now if you want to shoot things that move and walking into every buidling then DONT BUY THIS GAME! If you are looking for the next step in the video game era with a CINEMATIC approach then THIS IS THE GAME TO BUY. 3. To go back to the first point, This game visually is a masterpiece. I cant count the number of times me and my wife tried to catch when it was the players turn to take control. The visuals are breathtaking and they don't skip a beat once you are in control. 4. Gameplay: again I refer back the point of CINEMATIC experience. All the action that the main character performs are the same actions you are going to see in a movie. If you can name me one action movie where the shooting and blowing things up made reality sense then I will stop…………….no?.........then I will continue. Don't make the mistake of comparing this gameplay to Call of Duty or other games that bend the rules. Then if you do, you will sound like the screaming people are hating this game for this exact reason. 5. Valve: Now this is where the games has a downfall. The replay value is slim. I play this game on hard and after you do that, there is no point. I mean if I want to do the whole spill all over again then yeah but it is a beautiful game so If I wanted to show off my New TV to my friends and show the power of the PS4 then Im playing THIS GAME ONLY. Now if there are plans for DLCs then this throws this whole point out the window………. 6. Overall: I think that this game is going to be the benchmark for future gaming. In a time where we want total control over everything, its nice to give up control for a compelling story that captures the imagination. Sadly since we are in a digital age that promotes taking things for granted, this game will be taken for granted until we look back and say, “The Order 1886” was the first to do this and that…..BUY THIS GAME IF YOU ARE INTO CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE GAMES; DON'T BUY THIS GAME IF YOU ARE ADDICTED TO CALL OF DUTY AND DESTINY…..

Terrible
Really boing I was hoping for just a good shooter to mindlessly play though for giggles but it really wasn’t even good for that

Easy platinum, not fun to play
This game was awful. Forced walk, 20 minute cut scene, QTE, shoot, cover, cut scene, QTE, forced walk, etc. Rinse and repeat. I didn't understand the story until about halfway through the 10 hour story, and when I did, I was so bummed to realize what it was that I wanted to stop. The good news is that it is an easy Platinum, but not a good game to play.

For the current price, it's a must own
For 60$, I would have felt pretty ripped off by this game (but that's how I honestly felt about buy Doom on release) but for the current price of 20$, you really should pick this game up and see for yourself if you like it. For the positives, this games graphics are truly stunning and something to behold. It's really exciting to see where games have come and where they are going with a game like this. I found the story to be very interesting with the voice acting and music being stellar. I really did enjoy the first few hours of this game immensely. The problem with this game the most important aspect of any game: the GAMEPLAY. The controls are beyond clunky. Gunplay is fun, but with average to poor controls there are points in the game where you are thrust into the middle of unfair gun battles that could have been fun challenges with good controls. With poor controls, these situations became maddeningly frustrating. And that brings me to the length, yeah, the game is a tad short but I honestly welcomed the ending because I just couldn't bare another gun battle with the game as it is. I've recently played and ENJOYED games like Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne, so I like a good challenge but poor controls and gameplay really ruin that experience. Therefore, I can't really see myself coming back to this game that often. Go ahead and pick it up, if for nothing else to see what the PS4 is capable of, but I really felt like the developers poured so much energy into making this game look an sound amazing that they ignored the critical components that could have made this a truly special title.

The Order got an unfair rep
I really enjoy The Order: 1886. It's not as fast paced as most modern games which I feel is why it got unfairly bashed. The usual ADHD gamer these days needs loud noises every 30 seconds to keep their attention or online mutliplayer carrot on the stick gameplay to keep playing. The Order is deliberate It's a beautifully crafted world. The gunplay is also fantastic. The best since The Last of US in my opinion. This game is slow and methodical and it's a joy to watch and play. Best graphics on home console right now bar none too. It's stunning what Ready at Dawn has done with their new engine. If you're an adult who likes a good story and good gameplay, then the order is for you. I gave it 4 stars because it is QTE heavy. I don't need to bash X every time I'm trying to pick up an object.
