Bought to use with quick solder joints. Melts these easily. Almost to hot on the high setting. Also good for shrink heat wrap on wires. Feels quite light weight but works everytime, so far. Used it for all sorts, now that I have.

Good item makes life easier stripping paint of wood.

It mentions that the gun will smoke slightly on the first use of the product - which it did. I don't always read booklets that come with a product so wanted to let anyone who is buying one know.
