GekaType Water Coupling - 3/4" BSP Female Thread

Geka 40mm claw couplings are the bomb! Once you've seen the light and ditched all those nasty Hozelock/Gardena type fittings you'll never look back. No hose connectors popping off, no drips, just brilliant!It's a complete system approach, so you're in or you're out, but once you're in you'll never look back. I use 3/4" hose for my main runs with 5/8" hose on a reel for easier handling - the flow rate compared to 1/2" hose is astonishing. You'll need the appropriate barb connectors for your hose, and some form of hose clip to fix the hose in place. I started off using Jubilee clips which are fine if you wrap plenty of tape (insulating, rubber, hockey tape) around the clip - otherwise it can shred your hands when you're making/unmaking the connectors. I've changed to using the Oetiker ear clips which are a bit fiddly to fit but are bomb-proof once fitted.The biggest problem is finding a suitable swivel for hose reels etc, I found a fitting from an Alba Krapf stockist that worked perfectly; my next move is to invest in the Alba Krapf hose reel.All this stuff seems expensive, but it really is lifetime quality.
