Oasis Ceramic Self Watering Planter - Ivory

This planter does exactly what it says it will do. I planted an African violet in it and it is thriving. It seems to be giving it the exact amount of moisture it needs. In addition, it's attractive.

Over the past couple of years I have bought seven of these planters. They have performed, and are still performing, fantastic with my African violets. All of the planters have arrived safe and sound, well packed, without ever receiving a damaged product or missing parts. These planters are heavy and sturdy, but come with felt stickers to place on the four feet to protect furniture/windowsills and a drip tray that fits unobtrusively underneath it. I usually only fill the reservoir about half-way, and the soil remains perfectly moist (not too wet, nor too dry) for weeks at a time. These planters are much easier to fill than the usual two-piece self watering planters where you have to lift out the inner planter to fill the outer planter while at the same time avoiding the inner planter from dripping all over the place. I only gave this product four stars because they used to be available in a ton of different colours, now I see they are only in ivory or gray. Please bring back the full range of colours!

It's a beautiful planter, but the ceramic allows too much water through to the plant. It's molded out two African Violets in the last 3 months.

I have repotted my orchids into these pots and they are very happy. I bought several colors which makes a nice pretty looking collection. I refill every few weeks and my plants are perfectly watered. Sooooo perfect for vacation times too!

I've had my African Violet in one of these planters only a couple of months, but it's thriving. I'm not giving it 5 stars because the planter leaked all over my window sill. I guess I was putting too much water in it. Every time I checked with my finger, and I couldn't feel water, I figured I needed to fill it, and I did. Until I moved the planter today, I hadn't realized that the little tray underneath had overflowed, making a dirty mess on my window sill.

Best pot ever. Love the style as most self watering pots are very.... Not modern. Have a Rex begonia in it and it has thrived. I never add water to the soil and I need to put water in it weekly.

Very disappointed, my plant dies. But to be fair I won't rule out the possibility that I may have had the wrong size. It just seemed like my plant wasn't getting the water it needed.

Very convenient and attractive planter. It has a hole in the bottom for water to drain down into, I took a couple rocks and placed them on the bottom to aid in drainage. Be careful when filling it to the top, it will fill up the included plastic overflow that is placed under the planter in under a day.
