Great little saw!
I love this little saw. I've never used a Dremel tool before, but decided to give it a try since its such a strong brand. I have a corded generic ~4in saw I got to breakdown plywood, but its given me nothing but trouble from day one. It's heavy, the cord got in my way on long cuts and the guide was so complex I never figured out how to use it. This Dremel saw is the opposite of all of that. Lightweight, comfortable to hold, and the functionality was very intuitive. I was skeptical with it being such a small blade and its a different battery than my other Ryobi tools, but I was wrong. The battery charged so fast and lasted so long, having to use a separate charger was a minor inconvenience. The small blade was able to cut my 1/2 inch plywood without a problem. The stock blade wasn't terrible, but everyone knows stock blades aren't awesome and rarely good for clean cuts. The best evidence of how much I like this saw is that after I used it one time, I ordered higher tooth blades that would be smoother for plywood. Lastly, I think this would be a really good blade for someone a little nervous who is just entering woodworking or using electric saw. While no tool is 100% safe, the small blade and how easy it is to handle, make it a good entry level tool.

Poor build quality
Poor build quality, horrible vibration (I tried it without a blade as well). Even my oscillating multi tools don't vibrate this bad.

Look for something better.
Marginal at best and there are better saws out there that can be used in small spaces that have better cutting ability and power not worth the money.

Light, strong, and gets the job done
I knew Dremel was a good brand of tools but I had no idea that it was made by Bosch. I saw this on the box and the childlike euphoria that I felt was worth getting this tool in itself. I love the Bosch 12v lineup and have been wanting to add to it. When my existing Bosch 12v battery slid into this saw flawlessly, I realized that today was a very good day. This little saw packs a punch. It is clearly designed for the average DIY homeowner who needs a versatile and compact saw for household projects. I am slightly above the average DIY homeowner in that I have converted my garage into a woodshop where I have both industrial and consumer grade woodworking equipment.I tested this saw out on baltic birch plywood both 1/2" and 3/4" as well as 3/4" red oak, walnut, and big box store douglas fir. There was no noticeable difference in cutting any of the wood I tested it out on because it sliced through it without any bogging down of the motor whatsoever. I did use very gentle pressure in moving the saw through, and I used the included edge guide to ensure that I was not pinching the blade. The saw cut deliberately, accurately, and left no burn marks on my wood. Although I used the edge guide, I did test out the laser guide on one cut and found it to be accurate and helpful although in my woodworking, I do not make a habit of doing any freehand cutting. The blade that it comes with is labeled as a multi material blade and I only tested it out on wood. I look forward to exploring wood specific blades when I need a new one, but for now, this blade cut so well I do not see a need to change it.The saw comes with a dust collection tube that attaches behind the blade, as well as a very simple edge guide that has a friction screw connection to the base plate. The dust collection does work but the location is a little in the way. Whether I use it or not will depend on what I am cutting and the amount of waste that it produces. The edge guide is very simple, but it works perfectly. I do not like cutting anything freehand and this edge guide gives you the support to make straight cuts and avoid pinching your blade which could cause the blade to bind up.This is a really exciting tool from Dremel. I am not super familiar with their Blueprint line but I will definitely be taking a closer look now that I know that this is made by Bosch and shares a battery system with the Bosch 12v tools.

Does a good job, made well.
Small and compact and powerful. I have a Ridgid 3-in multi saw which is very similar to this, only it's a 20 volt as compared to a 12. That thing is a beast. This isn't on par with that, but I don't think it's supposed to be. This is more a tool you might keep in the tool drawer, something you might pull out to do odds and ends. It's made well, and it works good. I've used it on some quarter until Luan to cut wood spacers for a project that was doing and it worked wonderfully. No issues. I didn't test the run time specifically, because the project I was working on only required about two dozen small pieces and therefore it only took me a few minutes to cut them. I will report back if I have any issues with the runtime. Again, this will be a tool that's used fairly and frequently, but definitely will come in handy. Overall, very well made, from a reputable tool company. Easy to recommend.
