It actually works and works well.I was skeptical, but thought I would give it a try.I've now used it for planting potatoes, onions, shallots, vegetable transplants, flowers, etc.I used a battery powered electric drill, and used the low speed range. The battery capacity was the only limitation.It can give the drill a twisting "jerk" if you hit a root or other object, so be prepared. A lot may depend upon the quality of your soil.The connection for the extension rod worked well, but I used "R Clip" style cotter pins for easily changing between sizes.Quite a benefit for this elderly gardener.

Not sure about anyone else, but this was a game changer for me. Took me an 1.5 hours to plant 3 rows of plant (50 each row), cutting holes in fabric, drilling and planting. And also laying down the 3rd row of fabric. It piles the dirt right around the hole so all you need to do is put the plant in and push the excess around it.

Soft ground great. definitely made job easier in a pinch. Cordless stalled often for me, but worked well with other higher strength tools. Air impact wrench with this attached ate thru bush roots like it was nothing at a foot deep using mid size bit

These things work well, maybe too well! If you dig deep & hit clay it will screw itself into the ground, go slow & it will work perfectly

Planted over 500 trees with this set in Midwest clay. No issues medium size was best for process.Great value for the money and held up well even thought the small hardware.

**Updated review** I stand by my review, but customer service made up for the broken extension by quickly reaching out to remedy the issue.Extension snapped on first hole. No rocks or roots. Damp clay about 12 inches down snap where extension connects to auger…liked the idea of being able to extend each auger bit but a better choice would be getting longer augers that don’t require an extension. Was using the 3” auger bit provided.
