Excellent suitcase, with a sky-high price. Let's see how it stands up over time.
Excellent luggagePRO:-extremely good build quality, compared to every other suitcase I've ever examined or handled. That's compared to competing products costing $800-1000.-all design elements as documented on Pelican's site, including the gasket design, pressure valve, user-serviceable wheels, handles, latches. All as you would expect, or better.-shell still looks great even once scuffed by airport handling, unlike aluminum suitcases.CON:-ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM: anywhere you go in Europe they will assume that anything pelican branded may contain a gun. I'm not exaggerating. They will take more time handling your bag, scanning it, using different conveyors for transporting it to and from the aircraft. It can be a huge pain in the butt, if you don't realize they are doing this. And nobody is going to explain it to you. By default, go to the Oversized Luggage / Sensitive Luggage area when flying with these suitcases. This may also happen in other locations, it's not exclusive to Europe.-Expensive. Like seriously. Like extremely. I mean it's better than most $500-800 suitcases on the market, sure. And I love Pelican as a brand. But my gosh does the pricetag sting the wallet when a polycarbonate hardside suitcase with plastic latches is looking you in the face, for the low low price of $125.-NECESSARY ACCESSORY: stickerbombing. You cannot use these suitcases without doing something to change their aesthetic because all pelican cases look identical until they are stickerbombed. It's not just a culture thing, it's literally for your own identification. ... ... okay it's also a way to flag things you care about. Wave your banner proudly, people. I love it. I'll be keeping it for decades (I hope?)

Less storage than other carry-ons, but has its use.
This is one of those products that I just wanna love, but the reality is actual usability is tough. It’s much smaller and holds much less than many other carry-ons.But I can see why it’s like it feels basically bulletproof and maybe that’s just the goal

A Must-Have Investment For Travel
I am beyond impressed at the quality of this suitcase. After being burned from other luggage purchases, I finally decided to invest the money in a piece of luggage that hopefully would last longer than me. I am not disappointed! The construction is everything I expect a Pelican case to be. (Just like my Pelican gear cases.)I love the organization panels inside. They will keep my belongs from flopping everywhere. While yes, it is a little heavier, I don't care because its going to be checked anyway. The security and integrity of my belongings is more important than saving extra baggage fees. In the longrun, it will save you money.Highly recommend!

True Pelican toughness!!
Ordered the One not in original packaging and I cannot find anything wrong with it. It is 100% what I was looking for in sturdy luggage that will show up at my destination with nothing damaged on the inside. And if something catastrophic happens to one of the wheels they can be replaced, although I cannot see how one could break these wheels.

Ready to go around the world!
I have trusted this bag on numerous international trips and it is stellar. All the Pelican protection you need for travel, but with four wheels for effortless sprints to the next flight…

High Quality pelican, as expected.
Great rugged suitcase. The Steel clasps are very solid and the approved TSA locks are quality. Everything about this pelican suitcase is quality including the handle and roller wheels.

Great gear for the road warrior
Purchased to complete the set and recently used for a 30 day work trip. Couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. Tough, we'll made and dependable, in line with Pelicans hard use reputation!

Does to live up to Pelican brand
Disappointed in the construction and protective capability of this case. It does not merit the Pelican name. Even worse is I have not been able to get a response from their Customer Service team after 4 attempts including writing directly to James "JC" Curleigh their CEO. Design flaws make it unlikely to be a viable long term travel suitcase. Even brand new out of the packaging there were issues with the product which I expect to get worse with use. PS - many of the reviews are for original Pelican (hard side) and not the Pelican Aegis (soft side) cases. The Aegis has no gasket or latches referenced in many reviews and pictures.
