East of West Volume 8 Paperback – August 21, 2018

I’ve enjoyed this collection more than the last couple, probably because of the characters it focuses on. The ending makes it clear that the next two are going to be quite a ride

This thing just gets better by the book. Keep reading and you find more and more story behind each story. Amazing how it flows and ebbs on the back of humor and death, light and sound. A great read from the beginning.

Love this series hope someone makes this in to a TV show . This is GOT on steroids with sci fi and a western/dynastic/apocalyptic theme that would look amazing on the screen

A complex mythos of sci do and magic. Continues to astound. Enjoy and can't wait for the next. None better.

Awesome writing and illustration from Hickman and Co. as always....all continues to unfold, the pace is picking up to the inevitable!

We have been away from the other Horsemen for a while and their purpose seems barely clear, but the increasing simplification of the cast as factions and characters fall makes the plots easier to understand. The exact political valance and commentary from Hickman is a little difficult to interpret. Yet slow-burn and massive world-building of the second year of the apocalypse seems to continuously pay off. What a skillful creative team.

Easily one of the best comics of the last twenty years. Maybe more. Read it or continue failing.

I've been following this series since the beginning. Each volume has been great thus far.

I like a nice Cognac (yak) at the end of a long week.

This series continues to engage and excite. The pace and direction of the story arcs never seem to falter - there are no wasted pages or pointless tangential diversions, and the story seems to be moving towards a definitive conclusion... and I can't wait to experience more of the twists and turns along the way. While I would love to spend longer stretches with some of the characters, the balance is great: I am left satisfied to have caught up with old favourites and key players (the formative moments of the relationship between Death and his boy are a delight), and intrigued to see where they will go next. What's Wolf's story? How will Babylon's revelation unfold? Who will be standing at the end of the apocalypse?Honestly, if you've stumbled upon this title, go back to the beginning, start from volume 1, and enjoy all 8 to date... by then 9 might have come out and we can continue this ride together!For a wonderful layered story told through fantastic art, you will not be disappointed.
