PROS - Torque. On a full charge, this thing is a beast. Make sure you have a firm grip. - Chuck. Easy to operate and secure. - Charging. Quick and lasts a long time. - Light. Bright enough and fully illuminates the work area (as opposed to a single LED spot). - Coffee. Use with a 10mm socket to drive your hand grinder. An inexpensive replacement for a countertop coffee grinder. CONS - Light. Only comes on when you hit the trigger. By then it's too late. You need the light to line up the tool before it starts spinning. - Direction Switch. It's in an awkward spot. There's really no way to one-hand the tool. - Bits. It doesn't come with any. Most of the competing products do, so that's an obvious miss.

We moved into a new, larger place and needed to buy some furniture. Putting things together with the little hex key is extremely frustrating. I found this here on Amazon and figured it was worth trying for the price. This tool allows you to use the tool provided with the furniture - or other hex keys and screwdriver bits - but gives it a bit more power. This made putting these things together way easier and so much faster. I would recommend one of these to anyone who sees quite a bit of assembly in their future.

Black and Decker have done something no other manufacturer of tools have even dared, they’ve gone “Beyond”. It’s a bit of a weird concept and I’m sure the word “urban” was bought up many times during its development until someone came up with a brand new name that literally means beyond our scope of imagination. So now we have no idea what’s going on. In many ways this screwdriver doesn’t feel like a Black and Decker tool, it’s packaged in a minimal brown cardboard box and doesn’t have a traditional plug, opting instead for a micro usb cable similar to the one that came with your phone, but doesn’t supply an adapter for it. The big problem with micro usb charging is its only an advantage for small devices because it charges the small battery quickly, in a power tool it’ll charge faster and discharge just as fast. As usual the manual is overly complicated, for example there’s a ring included that has a tag that reads “see page 7” so I go to page 7, which is crammed with information most of which says “warning” and at the very bottom there’s 2 lines that says it’s an extension, you’ll probably only need it once if you can find it. The big light is also pretty quirky, it’s on/off when you squeeze the trigger in drill position. Or you can keep it on for longer periods when it’s in the off position, which means in poor light you have to line it up with the screw while in the off position and then switch to the on position to put the screw in. Activating the light with a soft squeeze in the on/off position would makes so much more sense. My general feeling is that these are designed and manufactured by a third party and then stamped with the Black and Decker logo. Now whereas this might sound like I dislike this screwdriver, I really don't, it’s an inexpensive light duty screwdriver small enough to keep in a kitchen drawer with the added ability to use hex keys. I’m a bit of a fan of Black and Decker and have a couple of heavy duty screwdriver/drills in my toolbox, this saves me having to dig around for them. One last point is there isn’t a case included, so you’ll need to keep its box to keep everything together. Also don’t forget that you’ll need a micro USB adapter for recharging.

Surprised this was so easy to use for an absolute novice! It came with different sized bits and all the sizes/types a beginner could have needed. The charge seems to last forever, which is much appreciated when you forget to charge it and need it unexpectedly!

Great Value, Battery Life, & Functionality. I've had this tool for over 3 months. Charged it once. I don't use it every day, but even after 2 months of non use, I was able to assemble 5 multi-shelf furniture items effortlessly without recharging! BIGGEST WIN with this tool is the ability to fit those included Allen tools into the bit. WOW! A Game changer! You know those included Allen tools are usually slightly different than the ones in your tool box! Plus, I Never had to get my tools! I used ALL the furniture Allen tools and the screwdrivers phillips bit to assemble everything! ZERO Issues! The light at the head is helpful. NO Torque adjustment. Instead, screw in till lightly snug. Then, you can treat this Screwdriver like a manual twist and twist it by hand to finish tightening the screw or bolt.

After lots of research looking for this somewhat specialized (Allen wrench) tool, I found this. It works great at a very good price. The “chuck” makes it like a drill, which works great! It doesn’t have a “clutch”, like other drills, but it works well, and for the price, can’t be beat! I used this tool to assemble/disassemble my college age daughter’s bed and other furniture. Without this, I would need to do everything by hand. So, this was a great help that I’d highly recommend. Also, I was able to fully tighten a fairly large number of bolts on a single charge.

I liked the overall modern design and the idea of using the included wrench from the furniture (instead of a separate wrench bit). However, the LED light was too bright and the light blinded my eyes. It’s an unfortunate design mistake.

Good Battery life and handy slot for allen wrenches.

Just built a tv stand . The battery lasted for the 20 screws I used and the unit did a good job with more torque than I expected. It is a good little unit worth the money.
