A game changer! Love this gizmo!
What a great find! So impressed! A great value with a very modest cost. No need to drag out a bulky ladder and risk a fall. It worked great! So simple, without the need for specially sized grabbers, and it just has a sticky surface on the end that sticks onto the bulb. I believe the handle telescopes longer, but I didn't need to extend it for my purposes. I would think this could work for most larger household bulbs with a flat enough surface area to stick to, and reasonable height ceilings with recessed lights. SO SIMPLE AND QUICK. I was dreading changing the recessed, high ceiling, light bulb in the bathtub area. But in less than a minute, it was done! NO LADDER. Just for good measure, I purchased some extra double stick pads, in case the one included loses its grip.

Read ALL Reviews
Like a dummy I read a lot of the reviews. And then bought anyway. $20 buck donation to someone. Product seems like the perfect answer for replacing ceiling flood lights. Does not work with high ceilings and believe me I wanted it to. I even used my own pole which was better. Will not stay fastened tight so you can spin and maintaining a 90 degree angle while spinning is impossible.Know why your looking at this but don't buy.

Good in theory but…
Although the stickiness is good; and it does keep the old bulb on it when removing — removing the pad from the new bulb is not so easy. Plus, if your ceilings are very high, having the control (while on a ladder) of the removal of the pad from new bulb takes time and isn’t easy. Also, if your light is at an angle, it’s a little precarious.

Really Works!
I was looking for a tool to change out old incandescent can lights with LED lamps in a very high ceiling. Many of the tools available were relatively expensive for what I assume will be a one time chore -- I don't expect to outlive the lightly used lamps. Plus, many of the others didn't include the pole; you have to read the product description carefully!I was attracted to this option based on price and the fact that everything was included, pole and "topper". I was a little leery of the "sticky" approach, but it truly works. I ended up using it to change out over 25 lamps and it continued to work as well with the last one as the first. They even include a special cover to place on the sticky surface so it doesn't loose its adhesion if it collects dust.I wouldn't recommend this if you change lamps daily; some of the others undoubtedly would last longer. But for one-time or otherwise occasional use, it's great and I highly recommend it.

Very, VERY strange... kind of unhelpful
I'm giving this product two stars because I honestly have mixed feelings about it. We were trying replace some high ceiling lightbulbs, followed the instructions, removed the cover and stuck them to the bulb. When I tried to twist it out the lightbulb glass shattered and the metallic end was still stuck inside the light socket (unreachable). Now there was glass on the floor and I couldn't change the bulb at all. The product seems like it could be useful, and the lightbulbs I was trying to remove could have been old, but... how would you unstick a new lightbulb once you had screwed it in. The design is nice and easy to use, but it wasn't very helpful and needs some revising...

Not really worth buying.
Does not work well on standard kitchen ceiling can lights with a slightly curved surface. Only the center of the pad makes contact with the bulb and after changing 3 lights, the adhesive didn’t stick any longer. Due to long shipping time to buy new pads, I drove to Home Depot and bought a suction cup, which fit on the Lickety Split pole and finished the job in a couple of minutes. The old standard pole/suction cup tool seems to be a better product.

THIS PRODUCT IS AWESOME AND EASY!
I rarely ever write reviews on products I purchase but this product is AWESOME! I used the Lickety Split to change out light bulbs for my 20' foot ceilings where the light bulbs were at an angle. I was able to stand on my 2nd floor entry and angle the changer to remove the light bulbs. I was surprised that the adhesive actually stuck to the side of the bulb allowing me to remove it at an angle. This made changing the light bulb so easy that I changed out all of the light bulbs in my house under 20 minutes without the assistance of my husband. This is truly an amazing product that I can use over and over again to change out light bulbs but based upon what it has accomplished, I can probably come up with different ideas to also use it. If you try this product, you will love it!

Not very useful for me.
I bought this to help me change outdoor flood lights. The bulbs get a little corroded in the fixture and are hard to get out. I have one area where my ladder is just not tall enough. There are two things wrong with this item:1. The sticky tape is not strong enough to turn the light and twists loose.2. The set screw does not hold tight enough to keep the handle from spinning in the gizmo at the end of the pole. The only value I got from this purchase is the handle is a standard thread and will work as an extension for a paint roller handle.I just need to bite the bullet and go buy a taller ladder.
