2 Wrist Hand Hot Cold Ice Pack Wraps - High Amount of Gel for High Efficiency - Perfect for Chemo (Set of 2)

My doctor recommended trying these during my Taxol infusions. I wear them from 20 minutes before the infusion starts until the infusion is over. I put them in the freezer at home and then bring them into the infusion center in a small cooler with a block of blue ice. Unfortunately, the cold only lasts about 40 minutes, and my infusion is an hour long. I ended up buying a second set and I switch them out halfway through. They're easy to use, not uncomfortable (although obviously I can't do anything with my hands like read a book or use my phone while I'm wearing them, so I end up just listening to podcasts) and best of all, after 10 of 12 infusions I don't have the slightest hint of peripheral neuropathy! Development of peripheral neuropathy is the main reason why people have to stop their chemo early and you really don't want to do that! My hands are frequently warm and uncomfortable due to arthritis, a trigger thumb and carpal tunnel syndrome. These mitts have been giving me relief for a couple of months now. Pulled from the freezer, they’re too cold to touch bare skin but I have a pair of socks I wear on my hands for the first 10 minutes, so that issue is easily addressed. Mitts stay stay cold for roughly 20 minutes- perfect, per Medical recommendation. I’ve found they don’t stay cold long enough if pulled from the refrigerator. The Velcro straps Haven’t been necessary for me but may be helpful to other users. Grateful for these mitts and looking forward to the carpal tunnel surgery!

I have wrist tendinitis in both hands and these have help managed the pain and swelling. My only issue is tightly wrapping the second hand once I have one of the gloves on already. You will need a second person or to use your teeth if you want it tightly secured.

This is a well-designed, well-made, and very effective ice or heat mitten for relief of hand-swlling and pain from arthritis and pseudo-gout. There do not seem to be other products that do the same thing. It is simple to use, fits easily, stays on, and is made of excellent materials. Sometimes, nothing seems to give relief for this kind of pain except cold and heat therapy and finding an easy way to deliver either has been a challenge for my relative who suffers from painfully arthritic hands. I cannot recommend these highly enough. The price is high, but the quality and design are excellent and these seem like they will last forever. The customer service was very helpful given the problems Amazon created in fitting the description to the right product.

I bought these because I was told I’d need to ice my hands 20 mins every hour for a few days after carpal tunnel surgery. They were VERY helpful, eliminating the need to mess with ice packs. Definitely worth the $20 I paid.

The product was bought because I was experiencing a side effect from a medication that caused my hands to become hot. These were great in letting me ice both of my hands as well as both the top and the bottom at the same time. They remained soft and pliable when frozen. However, they work best for me just being refrigerated. This is because it is too cold to place your hands directly inside them when they have been frozen. The gel tends to not stay in the thumb portion. There is about a 4 inch gap where the mitten is not sown on the side with the thumb. This I am sure allows any size hand to go into the mitten. The velcro allows you to tighten the opening to have better contact the the cool part that is on your wrist. You would need someone to help tighten the velcro on the 2nd hand and may even need so help getting the 2nd one on if using on both hands at once. Overall the product is good but wish there were a few tweaks-- even include a lining of some sort. I know these state with high amount of gel but more gel would decrease the chance of the thumb from being warm due to not having gel. Even when I try and distribute the gel to the thumb I get a weird air bubble and it makes it hard. This will differ for everyone based on your need. The product is okay but WAY to pricy for what it is.

My wife tried these for chemo and they didn’t stay cold long. They were lukewarm after 20 minutes and completely thawed and warm after 30.

Way too small for a man. The opening is too small for a man's hand to fit through.

Very soothing. A tip to keep the gloves warm longer: use a hot water bottle and place the gloves within its cover for a few minutes and repeat this every time the gloves cool down to warm them up again! I found this to work better than using the microwave.

Los compre para usar durante mis tratamientos de quimioterapia, donde se usan frios. Sacados del congelador y directamente en las manos enfrian demasiado. Yo me los pongo con unos guantes delgados debajo, asi se aguantan mejor sin temor a quemaduras por frio. No duran mucho frios del todo tampoco. Yo tengo dos pares para intercambiar.

The product does relieve swelling and pain but you will freeze your fingers!
