Fabulous product - it all fits into the cup which is quite large and a bit heavy, but great. Keeps hot and cold and am in Crete with it at the moment - love it. Coffees done perfectly and with easy. I reuse the paper filter countless numbers of times after a rinse each time Couldn’t get the colour from aeropress directly but love everything about it

Very good and quite satisfying, only the lid on the tumbler will leak if it is tilted or upside down. Regardless, this is still a very good product.

Ich habe für die Arbeit etwas Vernünftiges gesucht – vom Kaffeevollautomaten bis hin zur einfachen French Press. Letztere war anfänglich okay, hatte für meinen Geschmack aber zu viel Kaffeesatz, da nicht alles sauber gefiltert wurde. Auf der Suche nach einer Alternative bin ich auf dieses AeroPress-System gestoßen. Das Gerät macht einen sehr soliden und durchdachten Eindruck. Ein Isolierbecher ist direkt dabei. Der Becherdeckel wird einfach aufgesteckt und dichtet über Gummilippen ab. Der Trinkschnabel im Deckel ist mit einer magnetisch verschiebbaren Abdeckung versehen, die sicher hält und sich angenehm bedienen lässt. Alles ist gut zu reinigen. Im abschraubbaren Standfuß befinden sich die Filter, was praktisch gelöst ist. Die Zubereitung läuft so ab: Kolben aufziehen, Kaffeepulver (Mahlgrad 3) einfüllen, heißes Wasser aufgießen, umrühren, etwa ein bis anderthalb Minuten warten. Danach den Filter mit dem Kunststoffsieb per Bajonettverschluss aufsetzen, den Kolben leicht drücken, bis etwas Schaum an den Öffnungen austritt, das Ganze auf den Isolierbecher drehen und den Kaffee langsam durch den Filter pressen. Das Ergebnis überzeugt mich sehr: Kein Kaffeesatz im Getränk und geschmacklich deutlich besser als der Kaffee aus meinem bisherigen Jura-Vollautomaten – bei identischem Kaffee. Mittlerweile ist die Zubereitung für mich mehr als nur ein Koffeingetränk geworden. Man zelebriert den Kaffee regelrecht. Das gesamte Drumherum macht daraus ein kleines Ritual und bewusste Zeit für sich. Darauf muss man sich einlassen. Wer einfach nur schnell schwarzen Kaffee trinken möchte, dem könnte der Aufwand zu viel sein. Wer Kaffee aber als Genuss und Erlebnis sieht, wird daran Freude haben. Der Preis von rund 80 Euro ist nicht günstig, für Qualität, Geschmack und das Gesamterlebnis für mich aber gerechtfertigt. Den Isolierbecher nutze ich zusätzlich auch für Kaltgetränke. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden und nutze das System inzwischen lieber als einen Kaffeevollautomaten. Der abgebildete Kaffee ist der, den ich aktuell nutze.

The Aeropress makes it so easy to produce a fresh brew coffee, with the following provisos: 1. Make sure the grind is not too fine, as if is the water will just go straight through. The difficulty when buying ground coffee is that there is no agreed grind value, it is a bit of a lottery. 2. I use the metal filter (which is an additional product), but that simplifies the cleaning and reduces the need to buy filter papers. 3, Don’t be put off by the first pour starting to go through into the cup, keep pouring till the water level is at the top of the tube, then put in the plunger and push. 4. Taste - depends on the type of coffee you buy, but it is smooth and very tasty. 5. The coffee mug that you get, the lid looks as though it screws on - it doesn’t, it just slides on and off. 6. The only other thing is using the stirrer that you get - use it before you put the plunger on, it will add to the flavour of your cup of coffee. I love the design and simplicity of use, and the cup of coffee I get each morning.

I like the design and the portability! However, for the price of the product, you would expect the drinking spout to be airtight when closed to prevent leaking but you guessed it already, it isn’t. Furthermore, putting the AeroPress flow control cap on does not allow the top to close properly in “travel” mode, as the height is too big. This feature is important because while travelling (e.g., hiking), this flow cap is essential to prevent unnecessary coffee leaking during the extraction process. I also really miss a screw-on cap. It’s advertised as a “to-go” travel variant, but the combination of a leaking drinking spout and the absence of a proper screw cap means it starts leaking very easily. At best, I would recommend it for short commutes, but in my opinion it’s not truly “travel-worthy.” All in all, I find the product a bit disappointing. The price-quality ratio is on the lower end, even though the product has a lot of potential.
