Room Smells Nice and Woodsy Long After Burning
A very nice box of incense. The Alder came properly sealed and undamaged. We’ve used this incense for decades but never purchased from Amazon before.Strangely, the Hickory we bought çame opened, somewhat crushed (both the box and its contents) and smelled awful when lit. It also burns in about a minute, whereas the Alder burns slowly and smells like the familiar product.

Amazing Scent & Long-Lasting Burn
These are the real deal! The scent is rich and warm. I first saw these for sale in a shop in Albuquerque, NM and just had to order more from Amazon. It reminds me of sitting around a campfire. Unlike synthetic incense, this has an authentic woodsy aroma that feels natural and calming. The bricks are sturdy and well-made and they burn for a pretty long amount of time. They burn down cleanly without leaving a mess, just a little ash. The included holder is a nice touch, making it easy to enjoy them right out of the box.If you love the smell of real wood incense and want something high-quality that is made in the USA, this is a perfect choice. I’ll definitely be buying more!

Love the authentic woodsy smell
The fragrance of the pinion is robust and alluring. Initially discovered these items available for purchase at a luxury hotel in Jacksonville, Texas, and felt compelled to purchase more from Amazon. It evokes memories of gathering around a campfire. The aroma provides a genuine woodsy scent that is soothing and purifying. The fact that they come as separate bricks is quite appealing. Their slow burn rate is what makes them so appealing to me. They burn efficiently and without creating a mess. Additionally, I appreciate that this product is made in the United States.

Sublime smell!
If you love the smell of a fire place burning, there is no better smell than piñon. Probably harvested in other states but piñon, pronounced peenyone (Spanish), is a new Mexico tradition and a sublime one at that. If you are into a woody fragrance, you'll love this. The piñon tree is also responsible for producing the amazing pine nut or piñon nut, which when roasted in their shells and salt is added, makes another fabulous New Mexico treat. But I digress. Order these incense sticks. They are they best example of well made piñon incense and you won't be sorry!!! This company has been around for a long time and per their narrative, they don't kill trees but rather harvest the dead ones.FYI New Mexico is a state in the Southwestern United States. It is not Mexico.

Difficult to light and keep lit
These arrived perfectly. No crumbled pieces or excess dust. The sticks where placed in a small zipper bag, to keep out moisture, before placing them in their box. They smell lovely when burning. Not overwhelming. I would say burn time is about the same as a quality cone, when the bricks are lit and burned the way they are supposed to. My problem is getting them lit that way. Thus far I've been lucky to light 3 bricks. The rest I've spent up to 3 minutes each, with a multi purpose lighter, just to get a corner ignited - and then have it go out a minute later. I don't need that stress! I now treat them like loose incense and burn them on a charcoal disk. SO MUCH EASIER!So, yeah. It's a good incense. You just need to be mindful of the possibility you may not be able to burn it the way it's intended to be burned.

Smells like a campfire!
I had to give these to my friend but it's not because I didn't love them! If you love the smell of a campfire then you will like this incense. I adore that scent, however, my never been camping child did not like it and thought I was setting the house on fire hence me giving it to my friend. But I can say nothing against this incense other than there is a lot of smoke that comes off of it. But the scent is nice and strong.

Do not buy! This company now sells junk!
ZERO STARS!!!! Do NOT buy!! this company now sells bad products, profit over quality!!! Edited review for piñon incense bricks. I ordered this last year(Nov, 2023) and it was good, it reminded me of my childhood. This order (Oct, 2024) is absolutely HORID. I grew up in NM, and burned piñon every year. This is not piñon!! It's a mix of random sawdust, particle board, maybe some pine or rotten sage or random sawdust off the floor of a furniture factory. It smells sour and like a fire pit the morning after it was put out with water and leftover soot. It SMELLS TOXIC, like glue.I tried to contact the seller 3 times (over a 70 day period of time) before making this review, and they have not responded. I tried to make a return but it wasn't allowed, and I tossed about 15 after lighting and immediately putting out.If you sell an item labeled piñon, ship PIÑON!!!!!! I WILL NOT BUY AGAIN. My daughter's bought this for me for christmas. Hoping it would be better because they know I was disappointed. They were so proud because they spent their own money. But unfortunately it was the same. Absolute junk. And i cannot return it. I had to lie to my young daughters and said I liked it, Beause I did not want to hurt feelings, they had been so happy to give me a gift (What a crappy thing for a company to make a father do) Oh, and Amazon hasn't been any help either, they haven't reached out except to ask how they did. How can I answer, they've done NOTHING!!!!!!!
