TRUELY UNBELIEVABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. And a new and improved camera that fixed my original problem.
I’d love to give this camera 5 stars. Easy setup, quality pictures/video, nice compact unit. But when trying to view the pics and vids on the screen it just keeps freezing up. Others have had the same issues. I kept having to take the batteries out to shut it off. Even with the switch in the “Off” position, the screen would be frozen with an image. If they could get that to stop this would be a 5 star camera. Had to send it back.**UPDATE 4-17-19** Ok so fOXELLI now has an "updated" camera that has fixed the problems that I listed in my original review. I have used it several times now and it works flawlessly. For the price, its an unbeatable value. But the better story here is how Foxelli handled my original review. If you're on the fence at all about trying this camera or any of Foxelli's products, please read the rest of this review. So I received my first camera, tried it out and had the above listed issues that are in my original review. I sent it back and thought it was important to write a review so other people didn't have the same experience. I then purchased a different camera that had over 300 5 star reviews. I know that sounds fishy but while researching these cameras I found that most of the reviews are fictitious anyway and cant be trusted. Quite a few of them show up under several different cameras as if they were just copied and pasted. Even more reason for me to write an honest review about this product. So I received my second camera from that other company and was very unimpressed. The screen was tiny, the words on the screen were almost unreadable and the options for video length, number of pictures taken etc. were much less adjustable than what the Foxelli camera offered. So I just figured that was as good as it was gonna get because I wasn't going to keep sending cameras back. At least this one functioned and didn't freeze up on me. Less that a week or so later, I received a box from UPS. I hadn't ordered anything so I had no idea what it might be. I opened the brown box and inside was a GIFT WRAPPED BOX like it was my birthday. I opened it and it was a new Foxelli camera with a note attached. The note was from Foxelli and it basically stated that they were sorry to hear about my experience and they wanted me to give them a second chance. They sent me a new, updated camera that I never requested and it was at NO cost to me. To say I was shocked was an understatement. So I tried the camera out several times and apparently their "updated" camera has solved all of the issues I was having with the original camera. No freezing up, no problems at all. This is the kind of customer service that just doesn't exist any more. I would feel confident buying anything from this company knowing that if I did have a problem they would do whatever it takes to make it right again. So if this camera (or any Foxelli product) is on your short list, there is no question I would say give this one a try. If for no other reason, to support a small company that's trying to do the right thing by its customers.

Good trail camera for the price!: Updated 3/11/2019
I purchased this trail camera after reading many positive reviews, and I have not been disappointed. The camera seems well constructed, setup was easy, and it seems to be working well . It does use the micro SD card, so you just have to be careful when putting it in and taking it out. I have had this up for a week now and gotten some nice pictures of deer, squirrels and raccoons so far. I set it up initially at a lower MP setting, and will update this as I change settings. I have only used it for taking pictures so far, so I cannot speak to the video quality. One problem I had was that when i first set it up and was attaching it to the tree, i cinched the strap with the plastic buckle and the plastic buckle broke. This really should probably be a metal buckle. Since it is a narrow (1") strap, I think that I can fix this easily with some old backpack cinch connectors. The company is very helpful, has answered my questions very quickly and taken care of me with the broken strap buckle. Picture quality appears to be similar to many more expensive cameras, and the built in viewer makes it quite easy for reviewing the pics you have gotten. I currently have mine set to just 5 MP, but I will be testing it on higher settings as well as video. The pictures I posted are just the 5 MP photos and this defaults at 12 MP, which am going to try shortly. All in all this has been a great product and I recommend it.UPDATE: 3/11/19I believe that I would still give this a 4/5 stars after using it for a full season now. That is, as it compares to similar price level trail cameras. After using it for almost 6 months now, I have noticed a few additional things on which to comment. First off, I think with this camera the best setting is to use the video only mode. When using pictures only, or pictures with video, the pictures for moving animals is blurry most of the time, because of the light levels and the quality of the camera. Pictures in the middle of the day end up with a shutter speed of 1/50 which is a little slow and captures more movement for animals not standing still, making the pictures blurry. The solution that worked best for me, is to switch to the video only mode and get 10 or 20 second videos. That made it much better seeing what was moving through the area. The colors for pictures and video are a little muted, which isn't a huge deal, and there is a little bit of a fish-eye look, but again, not a huge deal for myself. One problem I consistently encountered was with recording sound. About 1/3 to 1/2 of the videos have a very loud static/white noise sound during playback, while the others, with deer or turkey moving 15 feet or so by the camera, I can't hear anything. So, I would suggest to just turn off recording sound, which may reduce the video file size. Again, this isn't a huge deal from my perspective. One thing I did not like, was that night-time videos are pretty grainy, which is to be expected from a camera at this price. I set mine up to do 20 second videos, and although I can see and make out a fox, coyote, raccoon, opossum, etc. the videos are pretty grainy. I know what crossed the camera's path, but that's about it. Also, with night videos, for some reason, they start out bright, then after 5-10 seconds the light seems to decrease to about half of what it started out as. I don't know if this is some power saving feature, or just how it works, but it happens pretty regularly. Again, I could see what went past the camera, the the high quality is lacking. Also, for the video mode, the camera records in AVI format. When checking my trail camera, I used a card reader that plugs into my phone to copy everything off from the SD card. However, my phone nor tablet had a video player for AVI, so I had to download one to view them.Pros:-Great price for many great features-Good daytime picture quality-Great customer service-Nice Photo+Video mode so you can get both without having to choose only one (I suggest video only mode)-Adjustable shot lagCons:-Strap buckle is plastic (my buckle broke but customer service took care of me!)-No holes for a regular Python lock cable-No security box available (probably going to make my own)-Pictures can be blurry with things moving (I suggest video only mode)-Night Videos are pretty grainy; night pictures are about the same-Sound recording is pretty much non-existent and about half of my videos have a loud static noise instead of any recorded sound (I would suggest just turning off sound recording)-Videos are recorded in AVI format; had to get a new app for my phone and tablet to play/view the videos
