Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm

Hourglass lipsticks are simply the best and this lipgloss is no exception. I have incredibly dry lips and have relied on Hourglass for years for relief while offering a great color selection and long wear. Goes on sheer and silky with only a mild plumping sensation. So worth the price.

I snagged the shade that gives this gorgeous, your-lips-but-better tint, and I literally haven’t left the house without it since my last work trip to Vegas (where the dry desert air was brutal on my lips). The texture is unreal – it’s this perfect hybrid of balm and gloss that glides on like butter without feeling sticky. My lips were cracked and peeling from the plane ride, but one swipe of this and they were instantly soothed. I love that I can slap it straight onto dry lips (no need to exfoliate first), and it just melts in. Pro tip: layer it 2-3 times for that juicy, plump look – my lips legit look fuller without any filler (my secret weapon for Zoom calls). Only downside? It’s not transfer-proof. I learned the hard way when I chugged an iced coffee and half of it disappeared – but honestly, that’s expected with a hydrating balm this moisturizing. I just keep it in my pocket for touch-ups, and the sleek Hourglass packaging makes me feel bougie every time I pull it out. If you want soft, pretty, kissable lips that actually stay hydrated, treat yourself. Hourglass nailed it. Already bought backups in two shades!

(Shade: Wander) This is a very unique color. I have never found another lip product quite like it. It is very flattering on my pale skin. I have a neutral skin tone (with strawberry-blonde hair) and I look best in warm undertones. This is fairly orange (and very light) so be aware of that. Because this color is so unique, and the product is incredibly long lasting, I will definitely repurchase. BUT the price is completely outrageous. Unless they have a color that you cannot find elsewhere, I would recommend buying a similar product at a cheaper price.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Why why why does this have to be the best lipgloss EVER? Its so freak'n expensive and I've tried all the hacks - elf comes close but nothing is hourglass. Price point is ridiculous but I can't deduct a star... it's that good. Hydrates and plumps like no other. Light mint base is heavenly. Colors - gorgeous... every last one of them and I don't know how they did it but every color tint/tone works. You can't make a mistake in color choice. It really is the best lipgloss I've ever used. Ever.

I opened this balm and when I unscrewed it, it didn’t want to screw back in. And the balm was delivered to me, melted. and now I don’t know how to screw it back and close it

I liked it and it went sheer on my lips and Colour was superb. Unfortunately, my lips reacted to it like an allergic reaction occurred so I had to return it. But when I used, it was quite moisturizing and lovely on the lips. But I’m leaving A a review anyway just to share that’s a good product and I wish I had it.

Lovely shade but disappears quickly, no noticeable volumizing. The best thing about it is the lovely slim container.
