I buy this type of the Kerrygold brand cheeses as only dairy cheese, outside of plant based cheeses that I get, as it says product of Ireland. From grass fed cows. I believe it's hormone free, unlike US milk, which increases estrogen and may affect risk of breast cancer. I hope it's true this cheese is really made in Ireland. And gmo and addind hormones to food is restricted and banned in Europe. So far I didn't notice any bad reactions from this cheese, which I normally have immediately if I injest American made dairy, which is sad. As unfortunately it's not yet illegal in the USA to feed hormones to cows and other animals or paultry used for food. As a breast cancer survivor i definitely have to watch what I eat, make sure it's organic and hormone free, so it that doesn't trigger estrogen reactions to affect the cause of it, as per doctors data - reactions to estrogen is what triggers breast cancers in women. Hope this is helpful.

This tastes just like being back in Scotland (yes, I know it's from Ireland, but it's sold all over the UK!).It's strong, creamy and slightly crumbly.Perfect.
